This is data from our sight in of a new camo Savage 220 slug gun. We already own one in black. The shooter is a 14-year-old novice who shoots once per year before deer season. We have both our Savage 220 slug guns topped with Nikon Prostaff BDC 3-9x scopes as well as utilizing Beartooth comb raise pads to properly align our youth hunters’ eye with the scope. The comb raise kits sell for around $20 and are the #1 most important part of the setup for a youth shooter.

3" slugs in the Federal Trophy Copper's or 3" Rem Accutips tend to shoot more accurately in the 220's due to the fact that 3" shells place the rounds closer the the lands.
Love mine. Super accurate with federal trophy copper 275 gr. Harvested two bucks, first one at 120 yards with 2 & 3/4 and second one at 160 yards with 3", both dead in their tracks.
