Are you planning to revisit the 450 to test relevant factors to someone who might want to hunt with this cartridge? Those factors would include: velocity, accuracy, amount of bullet drop at reasonable hunting distances (50-250 yards), and retained energy at those distances.

Cool beans brother, but I'm still very confused on which caliber to go with here. Do one of these big bore calibers use standard AR 15 mags? And if so do they stamp the caliber size on the mag? I live in a magazine restricted state.
Did you decide to go with 450 Bushmaster over 458 Socom or did they make that decision for you? It was a coin toss for me but I love my 458, and I can reload with the same bullets I use for 45-70.
