Great comparison video! My Streamlight TRL1-HL works great… as long as I don't fire my weapon. I thought all was fine until I went to the range. Every time that I fire a round (115 gr 9mm target ammo) it goes into strobe mode… every time. That's the only reason that I;m looking at the Surefire x300.

Ironic that I prefer the cheaper choice!

TRL1-HL all the way…

I have both, however I have the 800lumen TLR-1HL, and I have to go Streamlight all day everyday. You definitely won't go wrong with either, but for me with the price point, the Surefire is not $70-$100 better. Just my 2¢

I'll never purchase a surefire again. You can't send your lights in for warranty because when you submit a request they don't respond. When you try calling you will be on hold for literally hours. They don't call back they don't answer emails or voicemails. I hope that company goes out of business. If I bought one of there $7000 flashlights and it broke then I'm out $7000 and that's it. Fu#k you, your just a civilian we only speak to military logistics.

I feel like the TLR1-HL is better value as it definitely as good (if not better) but quite a lot cheaper than the Surefire.

Both are quality lights. I have one of each. I have also found both have great customer service.

I have the Streamlight TLR1 HL and I absolutely love it, it's a great weapon light.

I like both but I own two stream lights hl. I'd like to get surefire the new model and stream light has the fde models now. I could be wrong but I'm sure surefire's high cost as to do with the fact they have military contracts. I guess I favor the two over any other manufacturers to be honest.

Not much diff – 500 vs 630. I actually prefer the brighter hot spot of the Surefire.
