  1. buy you a vortex sparc 2 red dot. dependable, and a dead on red dot. get you a vortek. if you think you need an overpriced holosun or aimteck think again.
keep your money in your pocket.

  2. Cabelas has a red dot by centerpoint for $20. it's called a micro battle sight or something of that nature. I'd like to see a review on it as I can't find one. Great review and I'm sold on the holosun!

  3. I'm cheap. I have a TRS 25 on a UTG absolute cowitness mount. I'm good with it. I have that astigmatism problem too, so I don't feel the need to drop big bucks on a red dot that's going to be fuzzy anyway. I'm not thrilled about the lack of an auto shut off for the trs25, but I'm not heartbroken about it. That 65moa ring is pretty awesome though. I'm just not sure it's worth the price for me personally. If my eyes weren't all retarded I'd be very interested. Maybe I'll find one cheap and spring for it, but we'll see I guess.

  4. Just a couple months later and the price is $241 on the link provided.. Have 3 515c models and although I don't remember the exact amount I spent they seemed to be a bit more when I looked today

  5. About the buttons; how often do we have to turn it on or off? With it's auto off and on feature, one may never have to touch the buttons after initial setup. As to the brightness settings, I don't see having to adjust the brightness more than 2 or 3 times per day at the range max. That being said, I have calculators with similar type of buttons that have lasted for years, and I use them often.

All this to say that I don't see the rubber buttons being a weak point, particularly since they are flush with the tube. In fact, they may have less of a chance of being damaged than the turret style system used by Aimpoint since they won't be struck by obstacles or get caught on branches…
