I've had 2 Microstreams and am very satisfied w them as an EDC light but would really like to try the stylus out. Seems a little long for EDC but everyone seems to love em
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot all my flashlights are Streamlights and Surefires; I guess I'm a fanboy. Love the clip! Headlamps are so useful, when you need it, but who wants to edc one.
if you get some button top 10440 li ion batteries the microstream really kicks ass. i bought a 4 pack of trustfire brand on ebay for about 10 bucks. nitecore intellicharger i2 is what i charge them with. it jumps the output to probably 300ish lumens. the light gets hot pretty quickly so i try to use it only for about a minute at a time. the runtime is going to be shorter as well but its so bright!
i had bought flat top efest 10440 batteries to use in some of my other lights but the flat top didnt work in my microstream. needed that button top or to drop some solder on it to make contact so i bought the button top trustfires
Hmmm…I love my nanolight, but it's tiny and it has 8 hours, declining usable output. (It takes weird batteries, which annoys me and my wallet – it's a tiny watch battery that makes it annoying to change out and buy. It's also like $5 for a single battery and it takes 4 of them!)
I'm been drooling over the stylus pro and the microstream. The only thing I'm considering the microstream is that it is has that crazy headlamp pocket clip. (And the form factor – I can tuck the microstream onto my keychain without it poking a hole in my leg.)
Funny thing is that amazon is offering the Stylus Pro for about $2 cheaper than the microstream. For the extra $2, I might get the microstream (just in change emergency situations)…:)

FYI new models are 45 lumens for the micro and 90 stylus. Still great flashlights
Great Review. ive been thinking about buying one in the next week or so. i need it for my work mostly. But will work Great for EDC Too.
I don't worry about scratching a new light. A light is a tool & in time will acquire scratches & dings.

Apples to oranges, the new Stylus is twice as bright as the Micro. Nice comparison, you pit what you trust against something new.

the best aspect of the microstream is the s-clip that allows you to clip it to the bill of your hat to use as a head lamp.
The current version of the stylus pro is the Gen III, runs 65 lumens for 6.5 hours on alkalines.
The current version of these lights co
Great review, thanks.
