New Magpul MOE SL AR-15 Stock Furniture

I know this vid is 4 years old, but just put the Slimline handguard on my AR pistol. Brilliant! ! ! !

I really like the stock and fore end but I don't like the grip design. It's too think for me and rough. Also, the grip doesn't fit flush on the back side of the receiver next to the grip's web. It looks like an afterthought design and doesn't fit as well as their other grips.

Why is the music so overly intense in the beginning of these videos? it doesn't match up with the rest of the video. no music at all would be better.

Has anyone ever used a cheek riser with the MOE or CTR??

the strength of the mlok system is superior to keymod. there are to many stories of keymod attachments coming lose. keymod is a flawed system.

I just installed the MOE SL furniture on my AR and really like the slimmed down design. This was my first experience with the M -LOC picatinny rail system . These thing rock. They're very easy to install and move around. Magpul hit a homer with this design.

So if you lose the front sling attachment, how do you attach a sling?

Just picked up my first AR and I want the SL furniture on it. Do I need any special tools for this? I keep hearing about an AR tool, but I don't know what that is, and don't want to buy one if I don't need one.

This new magpul slim line is genius, not only does it make the rifle feel more compact, it enhances the look of the ar platform. It's a low profile rifle, nothing like the tavor, scar fal etc. I've had sl furniture on one of my rifles for over four months, and love it.

I installed the SL Pistol Grip on a DPMS and let me say the feeling and overall angle is fantastic. The rifle shoulders a lot more in line with the bores access. Very happy with the SL.

how does this match up to mft minimalist stock?

guys if you buy the midlength SL handguard you have to change the front handguard cap if you have the triangle shape and change over to the round handguard cap. All SL handguards are fitted that way which is stupid i think because all 5 of my midlength have a triangle cap and both of my carbines are round. keep it in mind

Is the SL hand guard compatible with piston systems?

Sweet, glad i watched, just purchased an AR and now i know i dont have to take the handguard off to put rails on now, it was a pain in the wazoo to get on without a tool.. Thanks sootch.

Magpul MOE SL Grip wins the looks award. Great review as usual sootchOO. I looked at virtually everything in the Magpul line and would be willing to forsake the Grip Compartment. Looks are a big thing, I would go with the SL Grip. Thanks for showing exceptional details in your video. 🔫

Is this a copy of the new bcm stock?

does the front of the MOE SL hand guard fit into the A2 style front sight or is it free floating, does it wiggle a lot or is it a snug fit

Can you install the rails before putting the Handguard on the rifle?

You have a great voice, very informational, great for us "hunting rifle-transition-to-Sporting AR rifle" types that have BRD (black rifle disease)

It bears repeating that the SL only works with a ROUND front retainer ring/plate. To Magpul's credit, they make this clear on their webpage descriptions. The older MOE and MOE M-Lock work with round or triangular. Dunno why they couldn't do this with the SL.

can I use the original MOE rails on this? I ordered mine the other day and it should be here today

cont. However it only works with a round front retainer ring, not with the triangular ring I have on my Spikes AR-15. Heads up!

I wish Magpul would come out with some type of furniture care package. For example, instead of having to order the parts separately, we can have an MOE SL package for either your AR-15, Ak-47, or whatever you have.

Magpul needs to come out with a free float handguard

I saw you had the original MOE PTS version of the stock. The PTS stands for Professional Training Systems, which is meant for airsoft. Not sure if it has held up to recoup or not, but I wouldn't recommend using it much longer.

Is there anyway you could do a comparison to the moe sl butt stock to the bcm butt stock? I'm having a really hard time deciding and knowing your opinion would help tremendously

Will the SL foregrip fit Piston AR's like the Adams Arms ?

Got the SL handguard and installed it on my M&P sport i like the look but not impressed with the fit has a small amount of side to side movement also feels very week with the vertical grip … wasted $ in my opinion even though it was cheap … U do get what u pay for no doubt .

Will this Magpul MOE SL fit on the new DPMS GEN II AP4 .308

I'm not impressed with the fit of the sl handguard by the delta ring. Every install I've seen (6) has a small gap between the upper & lower pieces… it looks terrible, and allows things to get wedged in there. C'mon Magpul, get 'er done!

I really want to see a mid length handguard like this. I might hold off on the MOE furniture I was gonna get for a while, to see if they'll add it.
