  1. Is 25 yards that farthest you have taken it? Im curious how it'd do at 100-200 yards. Its on sale right now and am very tempted to buy it before the months over.

  2. Do you have wear marks on your Lower Receiver from the CMMG conversion kit?

I recently purchased the CMMG .22lr Bravo Conversion kit, then later the Taccom 22lr Pressure Plug from an online site for my AR15.

Initially I did not have the Pressure Plug. Upon shooting with the CMMG .22lr conversion kit it, I noticed that it left a mark on the top part of my lower reciever. So I bought the Taccom Pressure Plug in hopes that it may alleviate this.

So before I went off to shoot again with the Pressure Plug, I used a Permanent Black marker to cover the wear markings made by the CMMG 22lr conversion kit on my ARs lower. I then inserted the Pressure Plug into the buffer tube where the ARs buffer detent held it in place firmly.

The Result with the Pressure Plug after shooting:
The CMMG still hits the top part of the lower receiver, as it did last time.
The Black Permanent marker ink came off the lower reciever and some of the paint was on the back of the CMMG kit where it was hitting.

I am concerned. Is there a reason why the CMMG conversion kit does this and how do I prevent it from slamming back on the ARs lower everytime?

  3. I'm gonna do it!!! I'm picking up my first AR on Monday, can't wait to put it to the test. Also ordered one of these kitsz to try as well. Bolt-action 22 is fun, but I think this will be a blast for everyone including the kidsz! I love getting new guns, and now I feel that mad gung ho feeling knowing that I'm kinda getting 2!! Great review, thank you, sir!! Out.

  4. Nice review. I always go back and forth with these little conversion kits because of mixed user review, but I cant bring myself to drop $400.00 + on a dedicated 22lr AR clone. Next time I come across a CMG kit for a good price I may just have to pic it up.

    Thanks

  5. Great stuff! I love mine that I've had for a couple years. I just built a dedicated rifle for target shooting, but at 50 yards there was no difference between a 223 barrel conversion and my stock 10/22. Outside of that, you start to feel the energy loss from the chamber adapter in a 223 barrel, hence the dedicated rifle 🙂

Here's the photo gallery with videos to come once I can get it to the range: https://plus.google.com/104584356294815517346/posts/HQsKfmzTzy4
