  1. Hey people, this little AAA light is a general purpose EDC. It is not designed to produce 160 lumens that will never be needed. It is for repairing things, finding things, and shining ahead during suburban dog walks. High lumens would be totally inappropriate. You cannot compare your twisty switch Thrunite or Fenix with the Microstream. The Microstream has a great one hand tail clicky switch with momentary on. It is much more convenient than your twisty retina burner. They cannot be compared. The Microstream is a great light for its purpose.

  2. I know this is an old video, but I am a machinist, and use this light every day, and have done so for over 2 years. It has been dropped on cement from 15 feet, stepped on, dropped in coolant, and thrown (I'm only human) against cement, and it never breaks. Still using this indestructible little SOB. The lens is even like a polycarbonate or something. It never cracks, chips, scratches, or breaks. You simply cannot go wrong with this light. I wear it in my breast pocket every day, and hardly know it's there. So much so, that I've brought it home unbeknownst many times. I just don't feel it. Not a spotlight, but a great "penlight" as the old timers called them. Only with 100x the kick.

    Great video.

  3. Agree with a lot of others here- Had my original for about 5 years (6?) and still going strong. Rides inside my weak side front pocket clipped to the edge. Been washed a few times, still works great. Clipped on my hat for close work or hands free. Bought 2 more just to have "in case" and they ride on my "go bag" Moab 10 sling pack, on the shoulder strap- they are clipped under the MOLLE strap, and it is angled perfectly to throw like while on my shoulder. Great review

  4. Just ordered a C4 version (45 lumens) in red. Wish it had a low lumen option (say about 10 lumens or less), but I'm looking forward to getting it. For ultimate key chain size use (without a clip) I love my Fenix E05 with 3 modes, 85 lumens max. It's just a bit over 2.5 inches in length.

  5. Used mine the other nite changing out the battery in my truck. It did the trick. My wife wanted one to keep in her purse. I got her a red one because she definitely didn't wont tactical black lol

  6. been carrying one of these for a few years now. the old and updated models. they are awesome. the clips can bend but are usually able to be bent back. also will take a couple turns in the washer. mines been washed like 4 times. make great gifts too

  7. get yourself 10440 li ion rechargeable batteries and a charger like a nitecore intellicharger and you will be impressed with the power this light can put out. make sure theyre button tops. i got the efest flat top 10440's and they dont make contact so you'd have to drop some solder on them to get them to work. id say the batteries jump the light to about 2-300 lumens

  8. Carried one in shirt pocket the last couple years. Don't even know it's there. Use it several times a day along with the occasional "hand me your light". Can't imagine being without one. Perfect flashlight and very good light for such a small flashlight.

  9. Huh. . . ? I kind of like having different lights that take different batteries, just in case batteries of one type or another are difficult to acquire. Most of my lights run 123A, but I have AA and AAA lights too. Love the new clip design that allows you to use it as a headlamp. That's smart.

  10. I had the old one for over a year and only changed the batteries in it twice. I had to change the battery one time because the power went out and it was used for 2 hrs to light up a small room :). Normal moderate use (lighting up a key hole at night, finding something under a car seat etc….you can easily get 6 months out of a battery

  11. glad to know they made a new model. I've had my old one for about 6 years roughly and it still works great even though it looks like it was ran over by a truck and it's missing the rubber on the button and the clip went missing a few years ago, to bad i cant post pictures lol but hey as long as it works I'm happy. but I think I'll have to upgrade to the new one soon.

  12. I also think that AA are a bit too big…but in length. My EDC light at work is an Eagletac D25C Ti. 3" long and a tad fatter at 3/4 inch. On my days off I get to play with my new O Light S-1 Ti. similar size ( I don't have it nearby to measure). I find them both equally as comfortable for pocket carry. Much bigger in diameter or length and I tend to leave those sitting on the dresser.
