  1. It's an awesome gun…until you think about the fact that it costs $1800 (after tax stamp), will take 6-12 months to actually get (because you have to wait for the tax stamp), and you can't take it across state lines (because it's an NFA item). SBRs are dead, and CMMG's pricing structure is way off.

  2. Seems Mecgar would make some 5.7 mags. They have always been the one good aftermarket mag I suppose that they use to make many of the factory mags back in the 90s. Not sure what they do these days.

  3. Two things I'd like to see, the first is M80A1 fired at a lvl III+ or lvl IV plate with cloth in front and behind the plate and ballistic gel behind to see how it performs at 50m, 150m, 300m, and 500m
The second is Hornady FTX home defense 155gr fires at a ballistic gel with cloth in from on the gel, at 7m, 15m and 50m.
I'm will to donate or send the ammunition to see these tests performed.

  4. see my question for this is that the 5.7 is basically a 5.56 that was shortened to fit in a pistol, so if you put it back into an ar pistol, why not just go with a 5.56 pistol? The rounds are just as expensive, same caliber (.22 cal) and your going to chamber it to fit a smaller 5.56 round essentially, so why not jus do a 5.56 pistol?

  5. I love a few things about this design.
The charging handle and angled magazine well and the enlarged trigger guard are neat.
Can you do a video on field stripping or simply show us what the bolt carrier group looks like?

    Thanks..

  6. They have drop in barrels for shot guns that allow them to shoot other caliber's. You think this model could be made with a shot gun barrel then a individual could have a few drop in barrels to shoot other calibers if they so wanted?

  7. That 5.7 SBR looks so bad ass & that round is in my opinion the best & complete package, it has the speed, low recoil for follow up shots & lethality of one shot one kill when hitting center mass without over penetrating which is great not only for plinking at the range but for home defense.

  8. I've had the 10 round extensions, great for one thing.. Pictures.. that's it, three different ones and all three got caught up internally and seized. I've loved my 5.7 pistol, ar-57 and PS90 over the years, this CMMG looks like fun.

  9. Here we go with another round of the Banshee videos… they really coordinate their rollouts, fer sure. 🤣 But like you said, it is wild to see a 5.7 gun… it would be a neat (but pricey) pairing with the pistol. I feel like this cartridge will have a revival in the distant future (10-15 years), once all these ridiculous NFA laws are repealed and the PDW market can be expanded without the brace nonsense. Cool gun, brother.
