You guys said that the size of the binoculars have no bearing on the magnification, but did not explain anything pertaining to the different sizes. Why would any one choose the bigger ones over the smaller ones or the smaller ones over the bigger ones?

To figure lens magnification is the same for Microscopes as it is with binoculars, if you've ever taken a science class in which you need t use a microscope.
people living in an appartment approx 2km away from house are lighting burning lasers at my feet through my window when i am sleeping ,,it has burned my feet multiple times and even things in my room . i tried to video culprits with an old sony camera with optical zoom 30x , but itsnt sufficient to video them . my question is : are there binoculars with zoom like 80x or 100x ? field of view is my least concern . i would like to digiscope the culprites and handover the video to police department here in India thanks in advance
