  1. This is a high quality tactical light. It is all-aluminum construction and is VERY bright. The strobe function works great. The red laser is bright enough to be seen in the day and with the flashlight/strobelight on. The battery life is excellent, especially when compared to a xenon light source. There is no high-pitched whine when the laser is on (unlike some cheaper tactical lights). It mounts VERY securely to a Picatinny rail with the included keys. I would recommend this product.

Just saw this on Amazon: Streamlight 69260 TLR-1 HL High Lumen Rail-Mounted Tactical Light by Streamlight http://amzn.to/2bvK5sg

  2. Love my streamlights. I have the TLR1s on my m&p9, its 300 lumens. It is plenty for my pistol. On my AR I have a streamlight protac HL for more output.

Reason is I live in a fairly small house and I have blinded my self with the 600lumen light when my eyes have adjusted to the dark.

    Another awesome video!

  3. I've been running a TLR2s on one of my home defense pistol for about 4 years. It has the laser/light and strobe feature. It's a very solid, dependable weapon light. The 2, 3 volt CR123a batteries power it for years without losing brightness. I change mine about every two years though just to be safe. I had to check Streamlight's website and the TLR2s is only advertised as having 300 lumens. If anyone is considering one of the 300 lumens Streamlight weapon lights they're very bright. I own several much brighter, 600 and 1000 lumen LED flashlights and yes they're brighter and reach out much further but I don't really think that's needed from a home defense pistol. I might look into this 600 lumen version for one of my other pistols because heck I'm kind of a flashlight junky. Lol

  4. Thorough review on a great weaps light.  The night shots showing it lighting up the yard help to give a good impression of its effectiveness.  That thing looks real good on your M&P 45!  A good friend of mine has had the TLR-1 on his S&W SD40VE for the last 2 years and loves it.

  5. Great review and great light bro…you can't go wrong with any Streamlight for the price imo.  The whole keep it under 200 lumens for a home defense gun is really confusing. I think that most cases are either talking about blinding yourself byy pointing a high lumen light at a reflective surface such as a mirror, tv, or picture frame, not a white wall.  From what I understand the problem with white walls is that the backsplash of the light may silhouette you if you are taking cover behind a half wall or pieing a corner.  Personally I will take all the lumens I can get and use the momentary on mode.

  6. Funny, I just received mine yesterday and I love it so far!! I previously had the TLR-2 on my M&P Core b4 this one and didn't care for the added laser on my Hand Gun. (Kinda pointless with an RMR) So I moved that one (TLR-2) to my AR15 and installed the TLR-1 HL to my M&P……. and WOW!, I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BRIGHT THIS DAMN LIGHT IS!!!! (Love the Strobe feature as well)
    Great Video JH6!

  7. I just turned a the lights off in my room, closed the curtains which are "black" and made the room very dark! I turned my H-1 while pointing it at the "white" wall, and I was not not blinded at all. Not even remotely close to that happening. Wonder where that comes from? Maybe from the (KWA) you know how they like to talk about things they have no clue about.

  8. The one thing about having too much lumans is been indoors and the light bouncing back or illuminating up the whole room, you want o be able to see the intruder but not the other way round.
    Sweet light bro
