Hey Blue823 – really love the review video that you did… can you pass along specific model numbers and any other serial numbers that may be specific to that flashlight? Would like to buy one, but when searching, there are many different kinds it seems and I want to be sure I get the exact one you are showing in the video.. thanks!!
You can't go wrong with the DS LED HL, Stingers are bulletproof anyway. I work corrections and can tell you, when you light up an inmate even 200' away it definitely gets their attention! Also, don't even consider any of the so called high lumen Chinese Cree type of flashlights, they highly exaggerate the brightness, they're not even close being as sturdy, plus you'll have to charge it at least once a week. I have to charge my Stinger maybe every three months and I use it daily.
I'm a Security Officer in Texas, I purchased the hl Strion a few months back for patrol, well it decided to play hide and seek from me, still can't find the damn thing. Anyways I'm picking up the new stinger ds hl, the 24000 candela and 800 lumens will sure cut through the dark tinted windows on vehicles I come across. I found the Strion didn't cut through the tint even though it was 500 lumens
Amazing. I had a regular incandescent Stinger that I used for years until I replaced that with the (at the time) new LED Stinger which was amazingly bright, compared to the incandescent bulb. A few months ago, my LED Stinger grew legs and walked away so I ordered this for a replacement and HOLY CRAP! This thing is seriously bright! Ridiculously bright! And the nice thing is that Streamlight hasn't changed the charger for years, so if you've previously owned a Stinger, even way back to the old incandescent bulb days, you can still use the same charger and save some money by buying the flashlight only. This is an amazing product and I'm constantly impressing my co-workers with how bright it is.
Got my first stinger is 2000. Added 2 polystingers, and a stinger led. I have had a stinger led Hp, love it! Have the 2 hour quick charge. Imo the best lights on the market.
