I'm pretty late to the AR game here and of all the entry level rifles I've looked at so far this one has peeked my interest along side the Springfield saint. I was just wondering since it's been quiet a few years since this video was made does your rifle still run through rounds so nicely and if any issues have appeared over time?
Young man, you are good with the gun, disciplined, and educated. I bet your father is proud of you. keep on shooting and post. if I have a son, I would have taught him same as your old man did for you.
The "Richie Rich" comment was completely uncalled for. I am glad that some Father made available this rifle for his Son to learn how to shoot, apparently pretty well. The young man also treated the firearm in a safe manner. People, it is IMPORTANT to get young people involved in the shooting sports whether it be hunting game or punching holes in paper or plinking as was the case in this video. I am proud of the young man and glad for him and very thankful to his parents for seeing to it that another citizen is being taught the shooting arts. As for the rifle, I wouldn't give the parent company of Bushmaster a nickle personally and am actually a complete non fan of the AR platform. I am an AK nut as far as "evil black rifles" go but am always happy to see young people involved in shooting anything……..even the "rat killer" AR series of rifles.
Nice bushmaster. If you don't mind me asking, how well has it run with you putting more and more rounds down the pipe? Does your bushmaster like any particular ammo or manufacturer?

the M16 rifle used in Vietnam, and the AR-15 in your hands are 2 different rifles.
