I found the key to building a quality rifle for super low cost is to be the one thing most of us aren't… PATIENT!!!! My last piece is coming in today! A complete AR Stoner milspec A3 upper from Midway USA. They had an election results sale… regular price $399… knocked down to $299! It's taken nearly 8 months to get everything at rock bottom prices, but I'll end with the rifle I want for about $425

I went to Bear Creek Arsenal in there is no upper for that cheap. the cheapest they offer is like $350
BCA recommends not using steel cases in their builds. Have you tried it? How does it work?

Getting a complete upper for that price is a freaking fluke. That doesn't happen unless they miss-priced it. But way to go. I commend you for finding an awesome deal.

If you want to upgrade the trigger, checkout the 3lb drop in match trigger on delta team tactical. Super short reset, super crisp for only $100. Nice budget build.
Working on my second build this fall. You can pick up kits that go on sale during the 4th of July for example. But you are correct a front and rear Magpul set of sights were $99 dollars. I got a set on Amazon for 29 dollars and they are great and well made.
