A quick intro for an upcoming series. I’m ditching the Remington 870 as my “truck gun”, and switching to a 300 Blackout pistol from CMMG.

  1. I'm a little late to the party but have watched your videos for a while and just recently subbed and found this series. On your remake about wearing a 7.62 shirt and jumping on the 300blk wagon; technically 300blk is 7.62. In fact it's 7.62×35 if I'm not mistaken.

  2. Never shot blackout but am wanting to do a pistol build and am thinking blackout because it's designed for a short barrel and has twice the size bullet. So for a compact truck gun, I think you made a good choice. I like the look of the handguard going right to the end of the barrel with one of these brakes that sends the blast downrange. Hope it turns out good.

  3. Dude get a Shockwave blade, fuck a thourdson. I guess if you don't plan on shouldering it and shooting it like a rifle it doesn't matter but man I haven't sbr'd a lower since I discovered the Shockwave blade….it's the next best thing…as close as you can get to a stock without the whole NFA process

  4. I got one and my biggest advice is to get into reloading if you haven't already. Ammo for the 300 blackout is still pricey but super versatile. In the time that I've owned mine I tried out about 6 different brands of blackout ammo just with one specific grain till I found 3 that works best, then I tried other grains for specific roles too.
I bought into the 300 blackout as more of the home defense role as the 150 grain supersonic round has near identical terminal ballistics as the 7.62 x 39 at under 150 yards.
Mine is one of the last runs of the PSA 16 inch with the CHF barrel made by FN, top notch in my opinion. I'm still experimenting with different projectiles but the Sierra 110 grain hollow point has been proven devastating on deer and hogs, so I figured it will be equally as good with bad guys.

  5. I recently jumped in the pool. I got the Primary Arms (Radical Arms) 8.5" Pistol. I am going to use it for a truck gun as well. I am changing the hand guard to the Brigand Arms hand guard. Since this is a niche weapon I'm going to put a Holson HS503G Sight. I'm going to have the Battle worn look on it so whenI let it get banged up no one will notice. So, truck gun…

  6. Got a .300 blk out its a Wicked round mine is basically a truck gun as well I buy about 100 rounds a months have not shot in over a year going to break it out today I went with a 10.5 inch barrel then back to 8.5 because it was more compact Great Pickup. it's a great hunting round as well I have taken a few wild hogs with mine and it's a Pistol as well.
