quick review of the Nikon P series AR15 offset scope ring review. These rings are excellent for a flat top ar15 platform as they allow you to reach the charging handle and also give you enough clearance to see over a handgun or front sight post. They are configurable in 3 different ways which allows you versilitility in how you set up your AR. Also allows you to use compact scopes with ease. In the $50 price range these are an affordable budget set of rifle scope rings and are great quality.

  2. other than your rambling on about which way you should put the setup how about just getting an extended charging handle and to hell with worrying about reaching the ch. do you really have a working knowledge about the AR platform or do you just like to talk about it?

  3. Move your mounts the other way with the cant facing towards the muzzle, not towards the shooter; as you have them here.  It will move the scope more forward giving you a little better access to the charging handle. It will also move the scope forward to give you better eye relief.  Your cheek placement has got to be far back on the butt stock making for an awkward shooting position.

  4. i have a Olympic AR-15 flat top rail and I bought the Nikon p-223 scope and the Nikon p-series mounts that you speak about in your video. I tried to install the mounts but it doesn't fit the fail they are to small what other mount can I buy that will fit my rifle .

  5. Your rings are on backwards, meaning you already reversed them.  Therefore, why are you babbling on about charging handle clearance?  That's your own fault.  Install it correct and it won't be a problem.

  6. I noticed u made a comment about having the charging handle too close to the scope… If you turn both rings facing forward it gives you 2" forward and moves your scope forward and almost even with your charging handle. Also helps with eye relief. just my $.02

  7. ah… so Nikon is lying on their instructions and website when they specifically say that they can be placed in 4 different configurations? And they are lying about being about to turn them both facing inward or outward to accomodate extra long or short scopes? Yeah… I guess I should listen to you over the manufacturer…

  8. Excellent review. I am looking for mounting rings like that but I want the quick connect. I have 2 AR's and and SKS that I may want to put my scope on from time to time. Any way .. Thanks for sharing …

  9. will check out the vid. I put the gun in my bench rest and put the scope on at the range so I can make sure I'm getting a good cheek weld and its at the right distance for the equipment I typically shoot with. If I shot freehand it would be a different setup. Thanks for watching.

  10. It's set up about perfect for me. Reversing the rings moves the scope forward and gives you more eye relief. But being primarily a bench gun I left it like this. I've seen people set it up both ways. The gun is so heavy there is very little recoil so this setup gives me a great cheek weld

  11. How is your eye relief? I have the same A2 style stock, but the end of my scope comes about the the charging handle. Seems like the rings should be reversed and that would give you more eye relief?? You tell me lol
