Just made a discovery that is highly disturbing! My EOTech is fake! Has my safety been in jeopardy?

its fake when u press the nvg mode u shouldnet see any reticle just with night vision googles and its not a hologrphic its a red dot
I hope you didn’t spend over $40 for it because Walmart has those clones for $40. They fooled the hell out of you. Big red flag is there isn’t just 1 red dot and they should have a serial number. Sorry for your lose bud
You can get these from DealExtreme.com You can even get Magnifiers there as well but they are made for airsoft so they're only like $50.
DOn't understand why people spend so much on the gun, but cheap out so much on the optics. You paid top dollar for the gun, why not pay top dollar for sights? Pay peanuts for optics, get peanuts.

If it changes colors between red and green it’s a fake. A real EOTech only has a red reticule.

Yup it's fake, sorry bro. I've bought one of those for my brothers airsoft. I bought it on Aliexpress for $40-$50. Aliexpress is like an Amazon in Asia, they sell real and fake stuff but not real gun parts.
Sorry to hear that, I just bought the EOTech exps 3-0 I made sure it was real before I bought it lol I do have a video on it check it out.
It's a shame. at my local gun show, 3 vendors were selling fake eotech optics for the same price as real ones. check serial number on base, shiny BS glass, crazy amount of paralax, night visionn turns reticle green, and a visible diode while looking thru front window.
Yes, your EOTech is fake, I was able to tell immediately. Looking through the glass is like looking in a damn mirror. LOL
