After 4 or 5 years of research, I finally purchased my first AR-15. Check out this video to learn about 4 popular entry-level AR-15s, the Ruger 556, Smith and Wesson M&P Sport II, DPMS Oracle, and the Bushmaster QRC.
In my opinion all of these entry-level AR-15’s are similar in value and quality. My best advice is to get them in your hands and see what feels the best for you.

Hey I just bought a Diamondback and am kicking my own ass for not spending an extra 200 and getting a colt. I can't agree when you say they are all quality. You definitely want all aluminum upper and lower, not like the M&P. In my opinion. Also you want a chrome molly barrel unless you're only hunting a little bit or going to the range once a week. I shoot a lot so I needed something mil-spec-ish.
1/3rd co witness or magnified scopes will work fine with a2 sight post.
Dpms oracle has a chromoly barrel.
Why would you jam a round in when it didn't go in naturally?. Forward assist isn't necessary.
I have a Smith & Wesson M&P®15 SPORT™ II OPTICS READY SKU: 10159 No fixed site on the front. I Magpul equipped the Hand Guard, Vertical hand grip and Hand Grip, very nice, Now I'M ready to buy my second AR-15.
You have made the right choice, entry level carbine for a begginer like you, good match.
I'm gonna go with the QRC
I carried a bushmaster in Iraq never failed
seeing the front sight on ruger 556 or S/W , that's why they make risers.
i like windham weaponry too. the orig bushmaster
Well so long as its suprakurate
It's like an insurance policy you hope you never have to use it but if you do you want good coverage.
You forget rock river, stag arms, sig sauer, windham armory, daniel defense, colt, armalite, Anderson arms, and many more that offer a cheaper platform and some amazing setups for the same ball park prices….there are even a bunch more out there….but they are around the 1000 buck mark…if it lasts longer and jams less and has better accuracy im sometimes willing to go another 150 in on a gun….but that's just me…these others i suggested are some of my favorites for their prices…maybe have a look.
JesusFuck you're boring as hell!!! If you're basing your review on other people's reviews then just fuck off.
i just got the QRC today im really happy with it first ar just the fact it doesnt have any ironsights is bad, but if i replace the handguard and the gas block i could fit on backup sights?
Make good judgement before kill any living thing…. Every life is precious.
It will come back to you and your family.
where did you get that camo forearm?
I liked your video, very informative and to the point. I have subbed to you for that reason. I ask you check out my channel and see if you might enjoy it.
Good overview of some entry level MSRs!
I would seriously consider a PSA Freedom
I know there are much higher quality AR-15's out there. I only covered 4 of the popular entry-level AR-15s in this video. Thanks for watching!
