First Person POV View Thru My EOTech While Shooting My Uzi SMG 1

This is the view looking through the EOTech Holographic Weapon Sight. I believe I was the first to upload this kind of video. The others are just copycats. Note this was uploaded 8-2010. This is a public shooting range with rocks in it. I can’t help that. I live in a rocky area. No, I haven’t heard of anyone being hit by a ricochet here and I don’t need any more comments about the hazards of ricochets. The point of this video is if you’re considering what type of red dot sight to get for your subgun, I recommend the EOTech. The soda pop cans in this video were shot with a Vector .22 caliber conversion. The milk jugs were shot with standard 9mm. You might also want to view my other videos shot thru my EOTech:

  1. I have a semi-auto Uzi carbine, and I am totally jealous of yours! What barrel length does it have? Where were you able to acquire a sub gun? (I am aware of the federal restrictions; I am simply asking if you found it on a message board, through an individual, etc.)

  2. I had the same issue. If you wear prescription glasses you need them with the EOTech. Additionally, try turning the brightness down. Focus on the target the sight should almost be in your peripheral vision.

  3. I jury rigged a camera mount from a small block of wood, a machine screw (to hold the camera to the block of wood), and several rubber bands to hold the block of wood on top of the Uzi's unfolded stock. Good question. I'm surprised nobody has asked me that before.

  4. This looks like all my other EOTechs. In real life, I think it looks sharper than this but the intensity results in the camera image being somewhat washed out. If you have astigmatism, it could cause a starburst effect.

  5. I was the first to upload my style of hunting POV videos ( still haven't see any the same). Nice work on the marksmanship. What range was this filmed at? And what camera? Cool vid.

  6. Unfortunately, nothing about the viewfinder made this task easier. The brightness and contrast of the screen was not as good as real life and in bright light, the reticle is nearly washed out.

  7. Hey great video. Just wondering when you were looking at the screen on the camera while it was zoomed in how practical was the magnification? I mean do you think with the right camera and set up you could use the screen as a magnifier for the sight?

  8. Cool i get the physics of bullets not likely ricocheting back to the firing line. it's just a concern of where the bullets are ricocheting to. depending on location and such. just saying because a range inspection officer here would have a shit fit. the berms at 100yds have to be 8 meters high dirt and be be sifted to remove any rocks.

  9. hehe if you look closely you can see the edit somewhere between 0:34 and 0:35… he cut out the part where he missed the 4th can. Cool video though, great camera view right down the sight.
