  1. This is my favorite channel for a lot of reasons but lately i have noticed this channel putting out a ton of content and i love that! I always find myself moving away from channels because they take forever to put out content but not this channel. I appreciate that.

  2. I think the biggest mistake most people seem to make is either turning it into a complicated art project or using so many different colors that it loses something in the translation.. I think KISS is the best approach.. The idea is to knock down that black silhouette and let it blend in better in a natural environment.. The advantage of the simple two color natural tone like you did is that it blends well in concrete environments as well.

  3. I used the same paint on my 6.5 Grendel and used a crab trap net for the pattern came out pretty good. I did the base coat the dark green then went lighter and lighter. I painted mine a few months ago and so far nothing has worn off but I haven’t used it much we will find out after deer season. But I did two base coats then the camo didn’t like it so I did another base coat then camouflaged it again then clear coated it so it has about 6 coats of paint shouldn’t come off very easy but if it does start to wear I kinda like that look anyways

  4. I rattle caned my stock for my savage axis camo with the camo paint with leaves and stuff from my type of woods and it came out amazing. I use it when I hunt and just shooting it at the house I have a boyds wood stock.

  5. I've just finishes an all billet build, finished with Duplicolor ceramic red with appliance epoxy topcoat. Distressed with mineral spiritd and schotchbtite. Did a Spikes last month using Duplicolor "cast iron" ceramic instead or red. Two coats of flat clear on both. Very tough finish. Got a few "oohs and aahs".

  6. KIDS PLEASE NEVER USE SPRAY PAINT ON YOUR RIFLE. OVER TIME THE PAINT MAY BUBBLE, CHIP, SCRATCH OR COME OFF ON YOUR HANDS IN CERTAIN AREAS. PLEASE USE ACTUAL PAINT TO DO THIS IF YOU ARE GOING TO PAINT YOUR RIFLE.. TRUST ME YOU WILL BE HAPPY YOU DID. AND IF YOU DONT WEL HEY YALL BE SAYING TO YOURSELF WHY DID I DO THAT I SHOULD OF LISTNED TO SEMIAUTOKID.24K LOL ACTUALLY HEAD OVER TO NEVER ENOUGH AMMOS CHANNEL HE HAD TO STRIP SOMEONES RIFLE THAT WAS PAINTED WITH SPRAY PAINT AND RE PAINT IT. IT WAS HELL TO DO BUT CAME OUT GREAT. AND TO 704 TACTICAL I HOPE THAT THIS WORKS OUT IN YOUR FAVOR BROTHER 👊

  7. Isn't there any kind of worried about the heat from the barrel. I mean I would think something would happen with that. Also the turrets on the optic wouldn't they get sticky and spray paint it on

  8. Looks great!! I just built a 300 Blackout Pistol with a 7.5" barrel and a polymer lower. I used Brownells "Aluma -Hyde" for the paint and it did okay. Probably be using this technique on a build in the future. Seems pretty easy and quick, not a 7 day curing period. Thanks for the video and keep us posted on performance.
    Have a good one!

  9. I took a slightly different approach with mine.
    1. Spray the entire rifle down with brake cleaner to remove all contaminants.
    2. Remove everything from the lower except the grip and trigger guard, and remove the bcg and charging handle from the upper.
    3. Take off the handguard and wrap the barrel in blue painters tape then put the handguard back on.
    4. Remove the ejection port cover and wrap the forward assist in painters tape.
    4. Use plastic ink pens to pin the upper and lower back together and pen caps to plug the safety hole.
    5. Put a brass cleaning rod through the bore and wrap the exposed part in painters tape, then use the cleaning rod and some wire hangers to hang it level with the ground.
    6. Hang the stock from a wire hanger.
    7. Apply desired camo pattern then let dry.
    8. Reassemble it and shoot the crap out of it.
Here's a pic of the finished result.

  10. Like Rustoleum better than Krylon. For what they charge for Cerakote, it's a good option. Cerakoted parts cost a fortune. Looks Cool! Alumnahyde II makes some cool colors like their Coyote Brown (a cool FDE Color) too. Alumnahyde II colors(Parkerizing Gray (medium gray), Dark Parkerizing Gray (medium dark), Stainless Steel Gray (light), Earth Brown, Matte Clear, O.D. Green for creating camo pattern stocks, Desert Tan (light, desert-tan sand), Coyote (light, gray-brown) and the original favorite, Matte Black. Also available is Semi-Gloss Black .

  11. I painted my AR. I used a stencil kit with a basic camo type patterns. I stuck with the urban camo theme. White, black, and grey. I also got skull stencils to add to it and it gives it way more character. One thing to note. If you paint an AR, dont use real bright colors like white on hot surfaces or surfaces that get extremely hot. It will turn dark like an off white, lol. Also if the barrel gets really hot, the clear coat and paint starts to melt and can easily come off or smear. But I dont mind, it actually starts to look really cool over time and begins to look like a battle rifle, lol. One suggestion would be to use paint made for hot surfaces like engines or grills on the barrel if you dont want it to smear. I used Rustoleum 2x cover and the basic Rustoleum paint and finished with Rustoleum clear coat.
704Tactical, I think your rifle looks awesome. Now I feel like I want to paint my rifle again, but with the patterns and colors it has, it's what makes it unique and Ive never seen another one done in that pattern.
