It's a difference of 3-9 vs. 3-12 on top of that when you are shooting at longer ranges the left side focus is a must with the M223. Also if you zero at 200 by zeroing at 100 and using the Spot on app to tell you what moa will be 200, the spot on app will take you farther than the 600 yards it gives when zeroed at 100 and so on. Or you can use the Sterlok free app and use the moa clicks on your turrets to dial instead of using hold overs. I hope you guys find that useful.
My thinking about the 2 scopes are pretty much the same. The only thing that is changing my mind is I found an M223 on clearance for $145.00. lol. I am thinking of buying it. I will mostly be running irons on mine. Sorry I am old school but if I need a good scope for maybe hunting would like to at least have the option using one. I live in South Carolina. A lot of woods here. I don't think will be shooting past 100 yards anyway.
not a fair comparison your m series has a larger objective more features and higher magnification. and also you get what you pay for. this is like comparing a Colt 6940 M4 to a Colt Expanse without the dust cover end forward assist… apples and oranges even if they are the same color
Good video Alan. You made a lot of helpful/good points. Don't be put off by all of the 'a' hole comments some of these 'a' holes make. They're youtube tough guys who are in reality probably flabby wimps with guns living in trailer parks, or in their parents basements. Keep up the good videos!
ultimately go with what you can afford but regardless of what this guy says the M-223 stomps all over the P series. I had bought the p series initially and after one time to the range I returned it and got the M. its much higher quality and has more adjustment. since I wont be spending $2000 or more on a sig or leaupold the M-223 really is the best thing for the money! good luck!
You get what you pay for…. the M-223 is based off Nikons Monarch line. The P-223 is off the ProStaff line. The M-223/Monarch line have more precise and durable internals. So you are paying for a higher quality of scope that also includes a parallax adjustment…. not just a few extra "knick-knacks". Bottom line, your choice should be based upon how much money you have to spend.

Audio sucks..
I only paid $215 (with shipping) total for my brand new M-223 from Sportsmens Supply on GunBroker
Thanks
Will the m223 mount work with the p223 scope??
This was a good video, thank you for making it.
can the p 223 still be able to adjust the focus tho?

Do all of the M line have parallax adjustment?

Not a very helpful video…
Thanks man, this video helped me make my decision. Just bought the P series 🙂

Thank you. I was wondering what the price difference was about too. Looks like I'll go with the P.
