i got the ti4 off amazon. i wish i could program it to come on in high mode first but thats not what this light is for anyways. i dont usually cycle through modes by twisting the head and i find it a little tricky to not click the light off to get into the next mode also. other than that i think its great as well
Love the flashlight reviews because I think that is a underestimated tool. Having flashlight and using it in weird places definitely is a deterrent and can be used as a weapon if in your hand.
It's funny you review these side by side. I've been EDCing the stylus pro for a couple years now. It's a great light but I've been considering upgrading to the Ti4 recently for one flaw: The pocket clip. I've almost lost this light several times because the clip has worn over time. It's nondetachable from the push button/screw cap, but you can take the cap off and bend the clip back. I don't know though, the light still does ride in my pocket like it did brand new. One thing i absolutely love about this light though is the push button. It's a downright hard push when you first buy it, however once broken in it's the perfect firmness. I have never accidentally turned it on while it has been in my pocket, but the firmness is easily adapted to while holding it, even if wearing thick gloves. I hope the Ti4 is similar firmness. I can't stand replacing batteries every few weeks because i accidentally turned it on in my pocket.
I Have the StreamLight Stylus Pro and i chose it because if i drop my keys i don't want to have to press a button a million times to get to a mode i like i prefer the momentary on for quick thing like finding a light switch or a full on when i need to go out side or something like that and 65 lumens is bright enough for pretty much any task and i don't really find the button that hard to press
Hey Jeff! I just bought a Thrunite Tn12! I also got a 3.6v 3400mAh 18650 from Olight and a Nitecore Intellicharger i2. Did I do good? This was a big step in the flashlight game for me. It's all coming today!! I'm so excited. Thanks and keep up the awesome vids!
Im a heavy duty mechanic and i love my Streamline light, i use it every day. Its very durable and very resistant to oils, and diesel fuel. it is also super bright. mine coast me 54$ in Nova Scotia, Canada
Here's a tip on the Streamlight button. To fix that problem of having to push hard to go from momentary on to constant on. If you're light came in the plastic packaging, take a hole punch and punch out some of that plastic. Using those punch-outs you can fine tune that button to your liking, by placing them in the button cap recess. It can make a huge difference.
I do tend to like the throw the stylus pro has over my preon 2 even though the lumen output is higher on the preon. Preon2 seems like it would be very compatible to that thrunite. Preon pocket clip sucks though!
I just don't understand the point of strobe in a pen light. I like the firefly mode, but let's be honest; when you grab your EDC light, you want full illumination or very mild illumination (like in a theater). I don't need S.O.S., fast mode, slow mode, or any other of that confusing (and quite frankly, clumsy and awkward to navigate through) optional mode settings. JMO.
Hey Jeff… If you want to try other watches other than G-Shock they are kinda out there but you can try some oulm watches. I bought one and I like it a lot.
I use the streamlight stylus pro in matte black. I've carried it for so long a lot of the black as worn off, but still as bright as when I got it. Very simple. I think the thrunite version would drive me crazy with the way it cycle modes.
I'm on my 3rd Stylus Pro and only because I bought different colors. If you work in dark, dirty, wet places it's a great light. When you buy one of these do yourself a favor and get rechargeable. I would still keep 2-4 extra AAA's in the glove box just in case but I am still on my same batch from 2010. We work on Heavy Duty trucks and sometimes you'll have to climb into the garbage compactor and this little light is perfect and that's just one example.
Dear Jeff, I was stuck between to options for me to purchase and I need your help to choose. IDK if I should get a spring baton or normal all steel baton. If you could please reply and yell me which one you think I should get, please do. Thanks
Had a Sylus Pro for a while, it was fine, unfortunetly I lost it, and replaced it with a Thrunite T20, so much better, has a similar output to the Ti4, and comes with a white cone.
While i love the Ti4 my only complaint is that on 3 occasions it has been on in my pocket when I empty my pockets at the end of the day. Other than that its great light at a great price. Perfect edc light in my opinion
I never did particularly like nor agree with Steve Jobs but he was right about one thing, Adobe Flash sucks ass. Every time I try to full screen the vid it stops and black screens on me.

I carry the streamlight daily one of the best tools I ever bought being a mechanic
Streamlight ProTac 2AAA is better than the Stylus Pro, more expensive though but definitely much better.

I have a stylus pro in the same color. Came from the Matco truck. Best hold-it-in-your-mouth light there is for a mechanic.
Is that a plastic or metal clip on the Ti4?
dont know much about the other but i put my streamlight through hell and back
+cutlerylover off subject but do you have a bug out bag or a go bag?

I think I want to get the Ti4…….
Jeff, did u say 65 lumens. Mine was 48 lums.
Preon P2

Nextorch K3 is my fave pen light.
I like single AAA lights, prefer Ti. Small, skinny, and enough power when needed, and easy in my pocket!!
VIRTUOVICE much ? :)))
Did he just say Flashaholics? I think he just said Flashaholics.

thanks for the great vid!
I'd like to see XP-E2 in the Ti4.
Less lumens,but more throw.
Fenix's LD02 are good!
