I held off on getting the EXPS3-0 after EO admitted the -40 to 122F Temperature vs POI issue some years back. After purchasing a new black rifle this week I decided to bit the bullet today after reading the new EO spec sheet Temp vs POI has improved to -40 to 150F. The temp in my area was never really a factor but I hoped they'd be able to eliminate the problem all together and I certainly wanted to make sure new issues didn't arise with the newer design. I haven't ran the newer model yet so my PO of performance is still out. I can say it looks good the features sound good the reviews have been good. The G33 is defiantly a improvement with the knock out of the way mount the lighter weight and the rectile clarity adjustment.

another improvement with the quick detach compared to the screw, if your charging handle is on the left side you've got a smaller chance on busting your knuckle
The reason why the battery cap is attached to the optic is because if you drop & lose the cap, the optic no longer works, so it's important to attach it, IMO.
How is this different from the EOTech XPS 2 (the one that's not the zombie-stopper)?
I just received an EXP-2 from Optics Planet. It was defective: turned on 40% of the time over 20 trials. That went back in the box right quick.

What about the lawsuit? Still feel the love for Eotech after they defrauded the Federal Government, Lied to the Norwegians, and made a batch of 20 special units to submit to the US special forces, trying to keep the contract, and those "special" made units wouldn't meet their own specs. Or, how about the money that L3 set aside years in advance to pay for the lawsuit they saw coming? Wonder how many soldiers lives were lost? Just a side note, I bet the knockoffs would have met the mil-spec requirements long before the original Eotechs. Still feel the love?
would the vortex vmx 3t-3x magnifier work well with the eotech 3-0 exps3 with the night vision

title is misleading.. this is not xps3 .. this is exps3 … so many reviewer have just xps when the xps is different model with different button placement.
Sweet looking sight. I was thinking about the Aimpoint micro, but I'm going to get the EXPS3 and G33 for the Daniel Defense MK18 10.3 SBR I ordered. So that should co-witness with the Troy Flip up tritium DOA sights?
How does the Eotech tan match up against the Magpul FDE?

I still think the 551.A65/1 model is better. It's frequently used by JSOC's Special Mission Units.
