Here’s my review if this rimfire scope. It’s a Nikon ProStaff 3-9×40 scope with a 150 BDC. It has a 50 yd parallax so that makes it perfect for the 22lr round. This scope has held zero once I sighted it in. Positive detents on zero-reset turrets. I forgot to mention it has also has a quick focus eyepiece.

  1. How is the package of Marlin 795, the Nikon and the UTG Mount working out for you? I just bought the same rifle and mount, now I'm thinking of getting this scope for it. Have you encountered any problems with the setup so far?

  2. I have this scope on my S&W 15-22 and love it. Nikon has discontinued this model (6725), and they are very hard to find at what was the retail price of $149.00. The new version has an auto focus eyepiece which I do not like. Not sure why Nikon made this change but don't think it was a good one…

  3. If any of you guys are wondering about scope mounts I just got a Barska dovetail to weaver adapter for my Marlin 795 for $17 from Amazon. It mounted super easy, has 4 lock screws and is see through for iron sight back up. Only problem ive seen is the rear iron sight shim doesn't quite get high enough. I've been wanting to upgrade to fiber optic sights anyway so hopefully there are replacement iron sites out there that will solve this small problem.

  4. Good video. You forgot to mention the Ocular adjustment; and it looks like you have not focused yours (it is screwed right in). Strangely, after my criticisms, you have convinced me to buy one for my Anschutz Sporter! LOL

  5. I have this scope on my M&P15-22, I'm new to them though, I have a question, if I zero it and don't want to loose that zero, if I make an adjustment someday, do I pick up the turrets and put them on zero? so that that will always keep my zero? Thanks!

  6. Thanks, I've got a Marlin 795 and put a Barska 3-9×40, good for the money and much better than the Simmon's the shop had in it. In time I'll upgrade that to either a Leupold or a Vortex, but that Nikon for the price is intriguing.

  7. Just ordered this scope and the Leapers 1 peace accushot mount. I'm going to put it on my marlin 60, but will oce it to a ruger 10/22 takedown if I can ever find one.

  8. It seems, those ProStaff scopes are really good, but I ordered the smaller one (2-7 x 32) model for my .22lr rifle because i see an advantage in the lower magnification – that brings a bigger field of view – and 7x maximum is way enough for shooting this caliber.
    (hope, it will arrive soon)
But I love Your massive scope brackets!

  9. This almost is as good as the Redfield Revenge series 😛 It's pretty much all the same but I got mine in 4-12×42 (I think 42mm, could be 40mm) other than that this is probably more economical.

  10. A reasonably good rimfire scope. One thing to clarify, if I may: it doesn't say one click is 1/4 MOA at 50 yd. What it means is that one click is one quarter inch at 50 yd. We know this because it also says one click = 7mm at 50m (or about 9/32 inch at 54.7yd). And also because one MOA is roughly one inch at 100 yd, which would work out to about half an inch at 50yd. So, in terms of MOA, each click on your turret would be close enough to 1/2 MOA.
