You really should not drive in that roll pin sticking out a foot from the vice. Get some support on the opposite side of the gas block.
good luck on your built.
Antiseize is a no-go and jeeeezus christ that's twice what that barrel nut should be torqued to. I guess anybody can build a rifle. Literally.
what about the oil on the barrel? that takes heat also, so is there a special lubricant? seems like some oils may get sticky over time?
what barrel nut wrench is it #?
for proper torque always keep the wrench 90 degrees from your nut.
33ms grease goes on the barrel shank, not oil. minimum torque is 30-35 fp,
Good job. Now thanks to your video I can assemble mine. Thanks.
Question, I here some people talk about headspacing when doing a barrel install and others do not. Some say that AR barrels are self headspacing. Would that be the same for a AR 9mm build?
60 ft pounds why on earth would you go that high.max i go 40 ft pounds.i would think that its more stress on the upper than is needed.
