This is the CMMG ARC .22LR conversion kit that CRR and Slam Fire Radio listener “Filthy” donated to my AR-15 build. Many thanks Phil! 🙂

Does it use the ar buffer spring? Or does that spring it have act as the buffer spring?
Your bolt carrier group looks dryer than a popcorn fart
Aboat aboat hes canadian I thought you were only allowed 5rnds
$299 is what that conversion kit cost that's the cheapest I found it so after taxes you're looking a little over 3 hundred I found it cheaper to get the AR- 15/22 so now I have both I paid an extra $100 more and got the entire rifle good video though I really like watching your videos
i just bought one on sale for 120 bucks
Thank you so much for uploading.
Did you have any functional issues?
CMMG web site states about this product:
"use a round style hammer as notched hammers can cause function issues"
This rifle has notched hammer …
Thanks Matt. Perfect video.
Does this have any negative effect on the barrels rifling or the gas tube? That's been my only concern with this bolt before buying, I guess my mindset is in "too good to be true".
Have you had any issues with double-fires (pull the trigger once and fires off two rounds)?
Were the 50 yard shots from a bench rest, or from the standing rapid fire? Thanks. Great video. It's a lot cheaper than buying the dedicated 22 caliber AR15 from Colt/Walther.
Hi Matt , great job and yes very informative. You done good! Thankyou keith
do you have any recommendations on ammo grain? high velocity to subsonic? cuz i tested this with sub sonics and had some trouble to feed back
good video – just bought the same system – check out my video on it ~ dinodad32
Thanks for the review. Seems good for training with the same AR rifle, getting to know the trigger pull and such.
It's a 25 round mag so loading 25 rounds is definitely the way to go!
Simple, Precise and to The Point. Thanks. Informative – thumb up!
You can swap from 5.56 to .223 in seconds? That's sweet. I can change my magazine faster then that and I don't need a conversion kit… 🙂

does this conversion kit works with piston driven ar15 ?
Anne Shuts?
My dad has a conversion kit for his S&W but not his Colt
I just recently purchased my AR, I had no idea these conversions even existed until I saw it tonight on CTD, and decided to go check them out. Looks like a great way to have fun with my rifle and save my real ammo for more important matters. Very nice demonstration. Thank you.
Precise 'review' Matt, good job. This is a pretty good idea,..what are the CMMG's competitors, and what costs are involved here ?
Showing us this product against a light colored background is a smart ( thinking man's ) idea !
Tight takedown pins are a good thing…. : )
Mine is tight too. Having no upper vs. lower wobble contributes to accuracy.
Aguila 60 grain SSS would work well in that 1:7 twist too…but shoots really dirty… Definately use a gas block shut off valve for that one or any other Mexican ammo.
GAS VENT STOP:
For AR 15 aftermarket gas blocks that adjust to OFF are available. You might want to consider one of these when using this CMMG 22 rimfire conversion or other similar ones…. Setting gas block to off also works well for "Centerfire" when you desire manual operation and prefer not to operate in semi-auto Centerfire and leave brass everywhere. Of course just turning a knob puts you back into semi-auto mode.
Thanks for sharing!!
will this work on a sig sauer m516?
Good advise on the blow back, WEAR GLASSES!!! I have shot well over 3,000 rounds with a Ciener's Conversion Kit, in my M&P 15… It runs pretty much flawless with any ammo (that fires). And accurate enough for AR practice. Much fun.
Very good video Matt, thanks for sharing.
I don't think you can walk the trigger on an AR though haha
