Having trouble with the non tail cap stinger led. Keep reaching for the tail cap switch. I heard from some of the forums that the ds has issues with the tail cap switch wearing out faster then the head, which is why I went with the nine ds. I'm just finding it difficult to locate the head switch. Hopefully that passes
I've had my stinger near close to 10 years. Just had the rubber on the button changed today. Great flash light.
I just got one as a gift through the company I work for. I thought it was kind of a maglite knockoff so I looked it up. I was shocked it was a top of the line flashlight. I just had never heard of the brand before.
I alternate two of the stinger DS LEDs for work and I recently brought an hl as well. also have a mini steam light I keep in my vest for backup. great company.

Would you please share your thoughts on Stinger LED vs Stinger LED HL? Or is is just flat out the HL is superior in every way? I've heard the traditional Stinger LED has a longer/better spotting beam than the HL while the HL just lights everything up; Any truth to this?
That's some tough flashlights to last that long.
I have a stinger and a super stinger and a 20x never had to do anything but replac the battrie's
