I've looked at this on amazon. the weight states 7oz. my vp9 manual states to not exceed 5.6oz for reliable operating. is 7 the actual weight or the shipped weight?

One thing to keep in mind is that this light is incredibly bright. That is good for outdoor use, but there is a drawback for indoor use. This thing will not only blind your attacker inside, but it will blind you as well. It will wash out your vision inside at night. Even if you just momentarily tap it inside, you will be blinded from reflection off of walls. More lumens and power is not necessarily better with weapons lights. At long distances there is a slight benefit over lower lumen lights, but not much. Ofcourse, self defense situations rarely ever occur at long distances and if they do, that means you can get out of the situation generally without having to worry about being involved in a gun fight. This light could serve a purpose such as hunting at night with a rifle, but I am not so sure it is a good self defense light for a handgun.

I recomend looking at the surfire x300 n x400 very nice as well but pretty pricey.

Great video….I just bought a Ruger 45 and was looking for a laser for it. I might have to take a close look at this one. That strobe is great for disorienting people. Definitely would like more gun reviews.

I have a streamlight as my main flashlight and it is great, its extremely bright and tough!!! I have a Glock 9mm but i really want a colt 357. That streamlight is Military grade!Thats the only company firefighters use for flashlights. Keep up the great work!! Lol and i thought you guys could expand into understanding women…hahaha
