This is a review of the Streamlight TLR 1 HL from the perspective of a long gun weapons light. This little light is affordable, durable, bright, efficient and quite capable on a long gun with one or two down sides but nothing that would be a deal breaker at such an amazing price point. The tlr-1 hl is 800 lumens
630s not enough lumen. The new tlr1 at 800 lumen is starting to be marginally acceptable still
Great review!
I do agree with you that stream light does make a good light.
Surefire X300 is WaterProof!
Not weatherproof. I believe all surefire Lights are waterproof!…
This video is EXACTLY what I was looking for THANK YOU!
What red dot are u using
No need to apply force. Just press the screw to widen the mount. Love this thing.
I put mine (with pressure pad) on my AR pistol for the same reason- to see to the end of my property in all directions, and absolutely love it. I have it right barely short of the end of my muzzle device, so I don't get as much of a shadow, and it's perfect.
Just got the new 800 lumen version for $115 shipped from Primary Arms
Any chance you could make the music of his video just a BIT louder? My ears are only bleeding a little.
Did you ever try the 12 o'clock position?
Good info to have, I have the TLR1 HL also and have had no issues. Curious though, and maybe I missed it somewhere, what optic were you using in this video? Thanks and keep up the good work!
What a kit with no plates looks like, lol.
Great review. Love that front rail.
Put it at the 12 o'clock position! Put the iron right behind it. You'll get rid of that shadow.
is their a reason I never seem to see people mount a weapon light underneath the handguard on a AR?
This is a high quality tactical light. It is all-aluminum construction and is VERY bright. The strobe function works great. The red laser is bright enough to be seen in the day and with the flashlight/strobelight on. The battery life is excellent, especially when compared to a xenon light source. There is no high-pitched whine when the laser is on (unlike some cheaper tactical lights). It mounts VERY securely to a Picatinny rail with the included keys. I would recommend this product.
Just saw this on Amazon: Streamlight 69260 TLR-1 HL High Lumen Rail-Mounted Tactical Light by Streamlight http://amzn.to/2bvK5sg
What's N-Force's Fatal Flaw?
interesting rail guard/dual light mout @0:300 – who makes that?
Bought one, ran it on my AR15 platform and found the fatal flaw. The battery compartment door. I would not recommend this for a carbine platform. The way the battery door is set up is engineered to fail.
that weapon is a thing of beauty…. thanks for the information I think I going to try on of these on my KSG
A friend of mine has the same light every time I've seen him shoot it on his ar15 rifle with a mapul plastic rail it flys off and lands in the dirt. WTF is he a handy. I would like this same light but WTF
Yes they work wonderful. I run the TRL2HLG under the rifle. The 720 lumin w green laser.
Need to point out that a light above the 300 lumin level is a tactic used to overwhelm. The laser is used for the same.
The laser let's them know exactly what is on target.
Spot on dude, and BOTAC had the best price on stream light products I found. Fast and friendly service too.
How far does the beam go
did you ever try to run it at 12 o'clock
What is that setup your running? Particularly the rail and grip? Looks like a spikes receiver.
Good video. What rail do you have on your rifle?
That setup is sweet.
what hand guard do you have on that rifle?? i love it!
The new ones now have 800 lumens. Can't wait to get one.
I don't get blinded by splashing the light off the walls, like many complain about, so I'm good to go.
I run this light on a G17 and love it. Have not tried it on a rifle yet.
Check out Strike Industries.. they make an extended rail that has pic attachment for a light on a rifle just like you have there.. Its a sweet little mount for cheap…and gets rid of your only complaint..
Budget/Entry level AR question. ATI Omni Hybrid Maxx or DPMs Oracle? Thanks
I love that light, Price and Lumens kick ass brother
Looks great really bright!
