After evaluating my options, I’ve settled on the Tru-Dot RDS from Meprolight to replace my Eotech XPS-2.

I give my thoughts on the Tru-Dot as well as reasoning behind the switch and why it makes the most sense for someone in position.

  1. bashing eotech. the faults found in the eotechs would not be experienced but in the harshest of extremes. they offered full buy back, non issue.
i'll buy American, and support American jobs every chance. to be honest, eotech is still the go to optic imo. you are free to buy foreign, but to do so for the bs going on is pathetic.

  2. I've got to ask, did you ever personally have any issues with eotech? Have you tested other optics for these same issues? Do you really believe there are electronic optics that won't have issues with temps as low as -40 and as high as 120? I think it's dumb to replace something that works fine, other optics companies have admitted their stuff suffers the same issues in similar extreme conditions.

  3. Good review, but you may want to think about economizing your monolog. It seems to me that this video took about twice as long as it should have. Focus on the product. I do not intend to be rude; just trying to help. You cold have spent some quality time torture testing.
