In this video I show you the proper and correct way of installing your barrel into your AR-15. I also show you how to install a Wilson Combat TRIM rail since that is the rail that I chose for my build.
– Wilson Combat 12.6″ T.R.I.M Rail:
– 16″ Mid-length Barrel:
– AeroShell 33MS Grease provided by:
– Snap-on 1 3/16″ Crow’s Foot Wrench:

Omg. Just tell people to buy armor wrench… u can find them for $10…
Lol, I think a few more hundred people need to NOT read the comments and let the uploader know about proper crows foot use 🙂 Good Grief Everyone!!! Great Video, Thanks
Does it matter what gas block you get I see some that are 8 bucks and some that are 80$
everything was good until you forgot to put it under my tree for Christmas a very important step into completing the AR-15 build!!!
BCM uppers are so tight that you have to put the upper in the freezer for half an hour to get the barrel in. I have used BCM uppers 4 times and they all were slightly smaller at the barrel opening.
an alternative to leveling the upper with the hand guard rail is to mound an optic across the two. well made scope mounts should perfectly square them up.
What if my holes for the rail arent aligning?
Great vid- quality parts. You can use an armorers tool for torquing the barrel ilo the crows foot also. I have that same barrel nut and like mentioned- just put the tool on the wrench at 90 degrees and the torque is the same instead of being increased due to added leverage. Also I’ve seen many people torque, then loosen a few times to stress the threads before finally torquing permanently- who knows if necessary though. I loosen with my torque wrench all the time too- hope that’s not damaging it. I just flip the switch and increase the setting 20 lbs!
That was so helpful. Thank you
who makes the barrel nut
how do you know the hole in the gas block is lined up with the hole in the barrel?
Good stuff. Thanks
Is the gap between the receiver and hand guard normal…..asking for a friend….
I think that milspec grease is just called never-seeze. I think you got dupped bro.
What size gas tube and barrel did u use
Your video save me time ,money and the head ache of waiting and not knowing how to do things. Thanks for sharing
dat drum!
My barrel nut does not have these indicators on it. how do I know if its torqued to the right spot. And what is so important about the indicators? Wont the gas tube go over without a problem even if its not over an indicator?
"you don't need a lot of aero shell" barrel goes in and grease goes flying lol
Why not go up in torque using 5 pound increments? Jumping up 15 is what caused the 1st attempt not to work
Another great video, Thanks! What tools did you use to insert the gas tube pin?
Thank you, I had hard time find for wretch size. Question? Does not suppose put grease inside gas block for something? But strange to me, I have seen many different YouTube and they never put grease inside gas block. If you want to see picture please private email. I can show picture proof I was trying figure why? First bolt carrier group fail extractor broke impossible only 300 rounds. I did called freedom munition what's up!!! They have still figure out how did happen. Very interesting me!!!!!!!! But I brought it from PSA for upper receiver Barrel from Black Friday. Yesterday finally return back money. I said why? They said only way one ticket and can't replace or etc. I was like groan I must be miss read list if have warranty but freedom munition is famous!!!!!! Strange.
I see a lot of people have those plastic sights on there weapons. I don't know about you but when go through brush with my weapon it tends to take a little beating and those sights won't last and i rely heavily on my sights. Nice build though she's a beauty.
