  1. On deployment I had a few options optic wise. Aimpoint M68, ACOG, MARS, and Eotech 553. I always ran an Eotech and even bought my own magnifier for it. To me it was simply the most versatile, reliable, intuitive optic to use across a full spectrum of operations. The only disadvantage was the battery life, but easily mitigated by changing them when I changed my NOD batteries. Oh and I used them from Alaska to Iraq and airborne operations so I can absolutely attest to their durability and reliability.

  2. I just got an EXPS today. My eyes are perfect 20/20, no astigmatism, I’ve adjusted the brightness. With all that said, is it normal for the reticle to look fuzzy compared to other red dots? Even when you focus past the projection onto the target?

  3. So the EOtech had a 4-5moa shift from heat when they claimed to have around 2 and everyone shit they're pants

But aimpoint has almost 10moa shift from paralax when they claim to have none at all and no one cares …….

  4. SONOFAMOTHERLESS GOAT, Man!
What did I do to YOU that you have pointed out the redemption of EOTech and how their previous infractions and boo-boo's have (THANKFULLY!!!) been engineered OUT of their product line?
KOWABUNGA, now it seems I need to dump all of my AimPoint's and upgrade to this most recent iteration of the EOTech.
DAGNABBITT, Sir! I have a not-so-inconsiderate number of $$$'s in my AimPoint optics.
But now that all the pesky problems that have (HAD) plagued the EOTech are gone I rectum I be needing the latest and greatest for my Boolet Launchers, eh?
    DAMMIT. DAMMIT. DAMMIT!!
All kidding aside, Sir, thank you for your update(s) and most helpful information.
I've always coveted the EOTech platform but steered away from them out of concern of their flaws as you noted. Well, those AND the cheesy battery lifespan.
Not so much and, dare I say, not any longer. At least WRT to everything BUT the battery life. Life is full of tradeoffs, though.
Thanks again, Pardner, for all you do for our country and your fellow Citizen shooting enthusiasts.
Now please excuse me while I hit the roadsides to collect enough aluminum cans to recycle to buy this newest EOTech optic.
(I hope you are PROUD of making an old man spend his meager VA disability check. LOL) JK. Or not. 😞
