Why is this dude making videos working on rifles when he doesn’t know basic info. Number one: never drop the hammer on a slower without an upper. It can crack eventually. You can pull the trigger and ease it down, that’s fine Number two: they’re cartridges not bullets. The bullet is the projectile, casing is the brass and the whole assembly is a cartridge. Number 3: “ yep faulty firing pin” yeah no, not on an ar15. Maybe dirty or sticking. Number 4: replacing the trigger wouldn’t change anything, you’d have to replace the hammer springs for it to change anything. The hammer spring is what creates the power to smack the firing pin into the primer. Looking at the placement of the legs and coil of the hammer spring, it was installed backwards. The coils should tighten as you cock it, not loosen. The legs should be on the bottom pressed against the trigger pin, which has notches for the legs to rest to keep the pin from walking out. Very obvious issue anyone with any basic knowledge of the AR platform would’ve seen in an instant. Not to mention once he removed the trigger, the misplaced spring is impossible to miss. In this case, springs trigger or hammer didn’t need replacement. All that was needed is to properly position the hammer spring and it’s good to go.
