  1. I built a PSA AR in 556 with a 7.5" barrel and kak flash can. I just bought parts on sale over the course of a year or so on PSA website. The entire build cost me $430. That thing is a blast, literally. It shoots a 3' concussive fireball and that flash can makes it so loud it's ridiculous. I lose like 800' a second vs a 16" barrel, but it still hits shit with authority. Great truck gun

  2. I have so called "top shelf" rifles, and I have three PSA rifles with FN CHF barrels. They came with Magpul furniture, and two of them have the more modern full-length mlok "handguards"(alleged as they may be for that function). I put top shelf BCGs in them, and they came with PSA EPT triggers. I'll say this, the mil spec+ companies (BCM, DD I'm talking about you) they're really no better in my opinion. They got a couple of contracts, a commercial or two on the outdoor channel with a bearded tatted up guy, and BAM, everyone thinks they're better. 4150 chrome lined CMV, 7070 T-6 hard coat anodized aluminum, 8620, HPT, MPI, and carpenter 158 HPT, MPI are really the same specs no matter what. Over 60 years later, basically the same product is being sold with the exception of astestics, furniture. The core of the system is the same. Why wouldn't a company be able to sell a $500 AR that may lack some of the looks, but still actually work? It came out in 1958!
