  1. That slug gun looks like a lotta fun! Great setup!
Would you recommend a similar setup for a 308 in brush and would the 6X magnification be sufficient for medium size animals at say 250m?

  2. The razors are pretty sweet scopes but myself personally went with the crossfire 1-4 V-Brite MOA reticle. As you mentioned having that 1 power option for close encounters is a must. Ive tried looking though a 3 power scope at a deer that was 25 yards from me and I had trouble getting him in view. Equally at 4 power I have no trouble shooting my savage 220 out to 300 yards at a target. The difference between the crossfire and the razor on our slug guns I feel is minimal, (glass quality aside) therefor can not justify the $3700 difference in cost. Again, I am not taking anything away from the razor line, in fact I have one on my LR smokeless muzzleloader and my 6.5×47, I just don't think its necessary for the modern day slug gun that is maxed out at 300 yards.

  3. I just picked up a viper hs 2.5-10 x 44mm for my slug gun. I’m using a Winchester 1300 pump with a rifled barrel. I know 10x is a lot but I really like to zoom in. I’d love a bolt action slug gun but does anyone think that 160 yards is a doable distance with my setup? Thanks.

  4. Does anyone agree that it would be a VERY good move for Vortex to add a Firedot BDC reticle to all of their Crossfire, Hog Hunter, and Diamondback scopes? It would make a one rife setup much more versatile by being able to use the BDC reticle for longer ranges during the day, without sacrificing the Firedot for early morning or late evening hunting. Here in SC, legal shooting light starts 1 hour before official sunrise and ends 1 hour after official sunset! That's exactly when all the big bucks are out and about! Please spread this idea. Maybe we will be able to get Vortex to make us the Firedot BDC! Thank you!
