4:25 Why I Do This Channel

When I became an RN I got another toolbox because I wanted to upgrade for my normal tools. At the same time I got some tools and a few parts just for guns. About 3 months later I went and got another bigger toolbox for my normal tools and the 'new toolbox' that I had just bought a couple months ago at the time is not filled up with gun tools and parts. I also still have the old toolbox that I already had.
If you ONLY plan to build 1 gun, just borrow tools. If you have any thoughts of doing more than 1, go ahead and get the basics and whatever proprietary tools you need. We are guys, we like working on things, and you need tools to do that.
Ill be an ass. We should learn the names of the tools BEFORE we attempt to profess to others.
There. I said it.
Love the video it’s helped me a lot. I started my kit differently; got the WHEELER MASTER ROLL PIN PUNCH & HAMMER SET – 110128, and BROWNELLS
BRN AR-15/M16 Bolt Catch Punch; and I prefer the Midwest Industries Armourer’s wrench. Alone with all the other new to the sport people (like me) Brownells has good videos on what they use of gunsmithing work.
You also need a properly mounted bench vise and a Midwest AR15 upper receiver rod to use with the clamshell upper to keep your upper receiver and barrel extension from rotating out of alignment when torquing your barrel nut and muzzle device.
Vice or vice grip? I equate vice grip as a adjustable plier tool.
You need torque wrenches and torque screw guns for bits
Cool. But watch School of the American Rifle or AR Tips in less than 5 minutes.
lower receiver vise block/upper receiver vise block (is what those are called)
At 69, I've done several builds. And with my grip strength going to hell ,some of the special tools available are worth every penny. Like the pivot pin detent installation tool. No more struggling .
Very helpful info, big help, thanks
