Is a SS barrel necessary for a 18-20in build? Or should I just go with a CMV or CHF? Can’t find a good SS upper I like, but plenty of CMV uppers. I want accuracy, but also not sure if I’m just being too picky as it’s my first long range build
What’s the red dot mount used?
I really need an 11-13.5x2mm
2:50 Exile or death?
So your saying i should get the glx 5-30 x56 for my bolt action
UH MRAAA HAAAAA HUUUUR LOL
What rucksack were you using in the video?
Best Spr scope. Night Force NX8 2-20X with the military Christmas tree recital
Nice
U Should TRY, The PA 4-14×44
HUD / DMR Scope, Very Awesome Scope…
In 2025, we now have a bunch of 2-12 scopes including the Steiner H6Xi, the Vudu X 2-12, and Vector Continental 2-12…
3-18 for sure if you want to reliably see and hit targets out past 600yds. 10x will work of coarse but it can be a bit of a strain to see anything other than a high contrast steel plate.
You should remake this as a concept video instead of a review. There are a few other excellent 3-15/18ish’s which don’t weight as much as a cinder block.
I would love to see what you think about the new Meprolight 3-18 dmr scope …
I love how hipsters called me cringe for putting a Leupold Mark AR 3-9x on my AR15 just 5 years ago… and now they're all cumming over 2.5-10x… nerds.
Honeslty for me the idea of wanting more zoom has two purposes:
1. Being able to better identify the target (not a task I ever wanna fuck up)
2. I'm a zoomer :3
2:53 don’t kill them. Challenge them to a duel of rifles at 800 yards and see how many rounds it takes for them to realize that 1x per 100yds is a stupid take on shooting if you’re sending shots out at distance.
I own three P.A. 4×14 ACSS /Chevron Optic Scopes….. Put one On My .556 16" barrel AR , one On My Scar Heavy .308 , And one On My 1947 Remington 721 in 30.06 This Remington Gun Is the Best I have ever Run It Is Consistently Dead Nuts at all Distances All these Platforms It Is hard to even Miss at 500 yds, it is Hard To Miss A Shot, We do not have a Range Longer than 500 yds, So i am limited to that Distance, . the Hold Overs Are Dead ON, Reticle has M.O.A. hold Overs, Yet the Turret in in 1/10 Mils, I find this Works for Me, I Call It the Best of Both Worlds, One Day Maybe i will get to experience a 1000 yd lane. Peace / Out.
I'll take a bigger exit pupil over extra magnific9
How does this compare to viper pst ii 3-15
Less than 25 years ago most everyone had a 3×9 or a lesser lpvo. Anything else was unheard of. People were hitting the same targets with no problem. Modern optics are awesome except thier size and weight.
Well if you're putting it on an AR with 223 you can't kill anything passed 400 yd anyway it. Doesn't it barely has a 1000 pounds of energy at a 100 yd so 500 yd? What's the point you go with a 6 arc? If you're gonna put some glass on it want to aid is plenty specially and they are 15 for used for in town.
If you wanna go with some glass then go for 308 and the vortex scopes are better than that even the cheap ones.
MPVO to me is (on the low end) 2-4 power up to (on the high end) 12-25 power and under 50 mm objective for weight and size savings.
So you can have a 2-10×38 or 4-25×48
Also FFP is obligatory, and a reticle that works well at both ends of the magnification, not just one end. This is a major area to improve in the genre. Good stadia for bracketing, and typically a semi circle… think ACSS reticle, and drops and wind holds but not a full on tremor style reticle… say 10 mils or so of elevation dots and correlating wind holds.
Some black magic giving us insane glass this year. This space is gonna be where the minuteman rifle is defined.
I got an Athlon 2-12x based on your recommendation, and now a 3-18×50 also from watching your videos. I got the last gen that's 30mm diameter Slx, not the newer 34mm tube Glx version. It was on closeout for half the price of the new one.
I matched the 2-12 with a 16" and 3-18 with an 18"
Gonna figure out which I like more over time.
18inch barrel with a 3-18 and 1x red dot on top you can not beat it. That is what a spr is
Supposedly there's a 2-20
What RDS mounts are you using?
I would really love another scope like nightforce 2-20 but its so crazy expensive and nobody really has anything else like that for like a 308 or precision 223
And now we have 2-40. Thanks Primary Arms
What red dot mount and red dot are you using on-top of the scope?
I have a 3-9 hunting scope on mine because I am poor
For 5.56 the 2-10 is very practical. Also cheaper. I've known people to start with a 2-10, move up to a 16 or 18x, then go back to a 2-10.
3-12 ftmfw
Soo.. what's the consensus? Would I be fine with 1-6 or better to step up to 8-32 on my 14.5 pin&weld?
honestly I just don't like LPVO anymore because there is too much room for error at close range if you accidentally leave it at 6x or leave it dialed in for longer ranges. I'd rather just be prepared to use a offset RDS/irons
Do some push-ups bruh
The weight of this setup is exactly why I'm not interested in it over a usual 1-6 + dot setup. I'm also not shooting past 500.
This sounds perfect for my 14.5” 6.5CM Aero M5 build!
Hop is NOT easy on the eyes
You think the recoil of a G3 would destroy this optic? I've seen them work fine on ar-10s but I don't think those rifles are as hard on optics as a g3 is.
what rmr scope mount is that? Thank you
What piggyback is that for your red dot?
