  1. Okay so I don't know if this is a problem but my arms are so long is that no matter how fire extended my stock is, I'm still able to touch the front of the mag.

Does this mean having a short stock with long arms is a bad thing?

  2. That "weapon system" jargon is redundant. It would make sense when talking about CROWS or RWS setups because they involve more mechanical parts than the weapon and user, but even they call them "weapon stations". A shoulder-fired weapon is just that… A weapon. Your stock, optic, grip(s), front end attachment (flash hider, compensator, suppressor, government-issued rubber), etc., so on and so forth, are not a "system". They are accessories. On a weapon.

Otherwise, good advice on fitting an adjustable stock to your own body.

  3. I had an old salty dog Marine show me that. Oddly enough my stock was at the right length already, but I had never seen that method before.

And the funny part, I got out of the Marine Corps in 2010, we mainly had M16A4's with the traditional stock.

I was Arty, so only officers got M4's and some Section Chiefs. Not all chiefs were as liked, if ya know you know.
