  1. A few years back I bought another brand's red dot sight and mounted it on my M1A. I thought it would make for rapid target acquisition and it did but I discovered to my dismay that accuracy beyond 100 yards went away. I realized that by just having a dot all by itself with no reference lines to ensure that I was not canting my rifle, even just a little, was the culprit. I could see the front sight post and used that for verifying rifle alignment and it worked great but that added the time I was hoping to save with this sight. I sold it and got an EoTech XPS-2 that has the stadia lines projected on the screen and a 1 MOA dot and, BINGO!!!, it was PERFECT! I can now drill 8 out of 10 headshots at 200 yards with ease. Granted, my application differs greatly from that of a pistol or a shotgun and I think just a red dot without alignment references would work just fine for those weapons but if you're thinking of putting a sight on an AR or other rifle, look at an EoTech before you buy and you'll see the advantages right away.

  2. I just bought this 2 weeks ago. It does not fit a Canik TP9SFX while I was shooting also it would not stay tight on any of my mounting plates. Don’t give me wrong not a bad buy but I rather have the venom and the fast fire 3
