This would be UK legal, straight pull ARs are common, its about all thats left that is allowed that looks cool.

Why not go with cheap side charging upper, remove the gas tube, reverse the gas block and be done with it? Keeps all the parts intact when you want to go back to DI.
This could be one of the first slam fire ARs if you get a forced reset trigger, that'd be interesting.

Every AR15 can be bolt action if you close the gas block.
It's a straight pull rifle.
They have a lot of these in England due to the ban against most semiautomatics.

bear creek makes side chargers; flip the gas block and you have the same thing. this is nice if you already have a rear charge upper tho. i like it. the bolt operation system isnt typically going to change accuracy, thats the barrel/ammo/operator. without a gas system tho, the subs are much quieter since there is no port pop. thats where this really shines.

The Cali key is like 150 and that converts any AR 15 into a bolt action
