  1. I have light from L.A. Police Gear (it was discontinued so I got it on clearance) that came with 3 CR123 batteries but has an add-on piece that allows it to take either 4 CR123s or 2 18650s. So I use 18650s but keep 4 CR123s for backup.

  2. I was honestly just admiring this same EDC flashlight today in my pocket as it gets darker… great for all the reasons you said above and fits well in my pocket AND in a ball cap 🧢… still with an decently impressive amount of light output.

  3. I purchased the Soonfire E11 approximately 6 years ago it has 5 brightness settings up to 1000 lumens. It is rechargeable via USB cord. It is my everyday carry and it still works like new and it is the same rechargeable battery. At the time I bought it the price was $29.
I think I'm going to purchase another one even though it is $50
now. Also pick up a couple batteries just in case.

  4. I’ve had two of these 1L-1AA lights. Had problems with both; the spring loaded platform would get stuck.

Also and this is STRICTLY my fault, I let an AA battery corrode. Contacted Streamlight and the sent a new cap. Too big. Contacted them again about the cap and they sent another. Too small. I can’t win. That said I do enjoy Streamlight products, and their customer service was excellent even if the wrong parts made it to me. I cleaned the corrosion as best I could and continue to use the light on occasion.

  5. Hi, use any pencil with graphite lead and write on the threads all the way around. It acts as a dry graphite lubricant and wont harm anything. Just don't over do it or you might have extra powder making a mess. This can help eliminate the squeak and make operating any threaded cap easier

  6. Can you actually run a 14500? They are 3.7v AA size, but they actually run at 4.2v when fully charged… is it too much for the flashlight compared to the 3v of the CR123?

  7. Good sir your list is not complete! You can actually run 14500 cells as well! They are the size of a AA but run at 3.7 volts which makes the flashlight even brighter! This flashlight has all kinds of secrets! I love them and have them everywhere. Side note – clearly the manufacturer hasn't approved this flashlight to run at 3.7 volts. That being said it's not much higher than 3 volts and seems to hold up. I haven't had a flashlight die yet.

  8. I saw one of your videos about it like 4 years ago and it has been my edc light since, the only downside is that cr123 are too expensive and sometimes i'm stuck with AA but great great light, she never let me down. Quick question, what brand of rechargable cr123 do you use? I can't find any that work

  9. Dude! I just found this light 4 days ago, it's freaking awesome!

My daughter is going on a week long trip with her church youth group, and I was researching a flashlight for her to take with her. It's not a wilderness thing, so it could be rechargeable and not ultralight or anything. Then I tripped over this thing in a random comment section somewhere, I got one on Amazon and had it the next day. I have a feeling she'll have this for a very long time.

Thanks for confirming my purchase 😂!

  10. Streamlight should make an updated version that accept the more powerful rechargeables from 18350 down below, temperature choices (6500K, 3000K and UV could be a wide enought range) and whatever is necessary to increase throw. That would increase battery choices to what, 15 types? Everyone in the world could use it, whatever local market limitations.
