  1. I think this thing might miss out on a lot of sales with it marrying you to a 2.26” optic centerline. People who run anything other than a direct impingement AR will probably find the height over bore to be way too high. Realistically they should change how the batteries are stored just for the sake of getting the dot to lower 1/3 or absolute cowitness as possible. Commenting before I watched the full video so idk if this was addressed lol

  2. A timed shake awake is basically useless. The entire purpose for shake awake is that it automatically turns on when it is picked up.

If I have to manually turn it on everytime I grab it, I'll just go with an Eotech or Vortex UH-1.

  3. Agreed . Money saved is win win situation if product is GTG .
Eotech and Trijicon are on my go too rigs and bought those used on TACSWAP.
I'm a huge fan of HWS optics . Batt life to me is somewhat over rated for my usage . I went 30 months with my EXPS3 being on about 20 hours monthly shooting 2Gun matches. I dont turn off my optic in between stages and most of the time I forget to turn off until I get home .
I do understand why Batt life is important. I just think highly unlikely I'll be on patrol for days or hours on end and my optic needs to stay on. I would just use TR25 1-6 if I ever found myself in that situation..
I doubt I'll buy one but if I see one at a Match I'll sure ask if I can play around with it . I really like 2.2 height. 1.93 is my favorite all around height . My 2Gun setup has YHM Riser is 3.3 HOB and I can shred with that rig .
    Awesome video bro

  4. They may have added the 8-hour off cycle to take it out of standby wake function because the electronics were draining the battery too much in that mode. So for them to get the advertised amount of battery life hours, they needed to mute the shake and wake feature….It looks like a tower cannon from the Death Star 😊 Nice review.

  5. Nice review, but what kills it for me is that I am not a made in China guy nor am I a tall height optic person. Now I am sure my comment will upset the fans of either or, but I spoke my mind about myself and no one should be even remotely upset because remember people, your identities and boundaries should not be attached to this height or for where I buy my wares from.

This message brought to you by a made in SK phone ;), nice try though for that fallacy.

  6. I'm definitely a "high-mount" guy, and I was intrigued at first by the platform, the integrated high-mount, large window design. But I'm NOT a fan of 123-powered optics whatsoever as I don't understand the need to use such a large, heavy, cumbersome battery profile when a CR2032 can do the same. I also don't like that "most" 123-powered optics have a way shorter batt life. And then the dagger through the heart-that 8hr auto shut-off and to reactivate you must press a button?!?? NOPE. At least as a home def/bedside gun, that's a huge no-go for me!!! And WHY would anyone spend $600 for a range plinker optic?!?!? I don't think I'd buy this optic for HALF the price. Primary Arms or Holosun for the same app. for the win.

  7. I thought it was interesting until you mentioned the price. The Vortex UH1 is the same price and it's American made with a good warranty. You can also get them used on GAFS for like 350 pretty regularly and they still have the warranty. An entry level EOTECH is cheaper as well and it's fully American made.

Just my opinion. Thank you for sharing your experience with this sight. I love holographic sights and am always hoping to see more competition to EOTECH.

  8. It's not the Made in China that gets me, it's the price tag. As a one of the poors I'll have to stick with the Holosun ARO. It's nice to see other companies offering the circle dot reticle though. I'm a big fan of it and it seemed to be fading away there for a bit.

  9. I love the people railing against China while watching the video on an IPhone. I have no love for the CCP or Chinese industry myself but the realities of the global economy are undeniable. That said, being a chinese optic they're gonna have to get that price down to $400 to compete since EXPS2s can be found under $500 on sale. Also, if tariffs happen that could kill it. Who knows?

  10. I'd be curious as to your take on high mounts. Back when I had an optic on a carry handle, it always hurt when in the prone to get a good sight picture. I'm baffled as to why high sitting optics are becoming a thing again.

  11. This optic would be better off mounted lower. There’s no reason to use those tall “skyscraper” mounts — a 1.7″–1.93″ riser is the sweet spot; nothing taller is needed. The supposed benefits of skyscraper mounts — passive aiming and being able to shoot with your head up — are already achievable with a 1.7″ mount. Simply raising the shoulder slightly when shouldering the rifle provides enough height for heads-up shooting. It’s a posture problem, not a mount-height problem.

We actually tested skyscraper mounts while I was in the military (not the U.S. — my awkward translated English would prove it). Most people went back to the standard 1.7″ mounts because the taller ones produced unpredictable holdovers. It wasn’t down to lack of training. On a flat range one can calculate holdover, but when shooting under stress in varied environments, the instinct is to place the reticle directly on the target — and a big holdover becomes a nightmare. In stressful situations, trying to mentally calculate where a round will go goes against instinct.

If someone really wants to buy a skyscraper mount, they should watch DJ Shipley’s competition shooting footage — he shoots slowly because he’s constantly calculating. If after watching that they still want one, then by all means, buy it.

  12. I'm like you regarding optic height. I'm looking forward to your thoughts on the sky high mounts. I remember mounting a scope on an old SP1. It was ok with a fixed stock but I didn't like it when I used a collapsible stock on another rifle later on.

  13. MTS..bro that booger is huge…LOL! I am still a made in America guy, but I know when you buy stuff from China, it still provides Americans with jobs. I use to crave an EOTECH, but as the red dots became smaller I did not see a need to pay such a preimum for it. Awesome content and a nice optic!
