  1. I'm guilty of zeroing a 3-9 at 5x and using 9x instead of binoculars. And if you're shooting at 50 yards and past, why start at 1x? I'd love a 3-7x ffp horseshoe under 15oz w/ mount.

Eotech 3-9 has squatted in the distance

  2. I hate that to get a good pair of iron sights cost 125 if not more …but u can get a "pretty" good red dot for 130. Most people are ganna choose the red dot cause it's a red dot and think they can shoot better with red dot then iron sights, Someone should come out with a set with a red dot and an iron sight maybe set the 45° iron sights offset and have it all ready to go for like $225 or something and you get best of both worlds. That be somthing I could get behind just saying

  3. Sure a 1-6 LPVO is ideal but I gotta deal on that Bug Buster at half the price of a decent LPVO unless you think I should buy a Monstrum just because it's about the same price as the Bug Buster.
On a serious note I hope you feel better soon.

  4. here's the REAL secret that none of the countless guntubers, and ffl salesman will tell you: the bulk of gun owners live in the suburbs. in a shtf scenario, none of those guys will EVER need to shoot beyond 40 yards, ever. all of this sniper bullshit and long reach capability is 100% snake oil. you're far better off spending your money in other ways, and directing your efforts into networking with like minded individuals in your neighborhood to develop security for the sector you plan to protect. if you're defending your house, you already lost.

  5. Do you need a 9X on an AR not really. Does an AR suddenly become a nerf gun past 500 assuredly not. But hey I only went to the Unit Armorores course so some keyboard operator is gonna tell me some imagined anecdote about that time he shot something at 12 feet and the 5.55 bounced right off and back into himself.

  6. It’s not YOUR firearm, it’s who ever buys it, therefore they can put what ever they want on it that works for them, some people have bad eyesight and HAVE to have a scope and prolly don’t have a lot of money sooooo that’s your overthought opinion 😂

  7. Someone mentioned something about a longer barrel… Well, there is that that will make a difference. There is also the fact that the AR is also platformed in 350 legend 45-70 at 762. It’s just those are the most common rounds is 556 etc. So instead of assuming because they have a long scope on their ar perhaps you ask them if it’s another caliber, then 556. Don’t act like the Gatekeeper of firearms here And proclaimed the world that their way is wrong. I can’t believe I’m seeing narcissism at the range now this is fkn insane. I think it’s time for TikTok, and all of these short people to stop talking

  8. I have a quality 3-9X40mm on my 24" heavy barrel .223 AR that I use for predator, varmint, and deer/pronghorn hunting. Not much chance of popping a prairie poodle at 400+ yards with irons and 54 year-old eyes, and ethical hunting means placing shots precisely, some times in low-light conditions (are you familiar with the term "relative brightness?). But sure, I "don't know any better", and I'm "outshooting the capabilities of my rifle". Good grief…
