  1. That was straight fear reaction reflex. He processed that in a matter of fractions of a second to do 2 rapid fire burst like that. It was one of those situations where your heart just sinks & you kinda gasp sorta. Almost like when cats' eyes dialate when they are about to pounce.

  2. Wouldn't turning on your lights not only announce your presence which could result in an intruder deciding to exit or possibly become defensive BUT more importantly does it not possible put you at a disadvantage by affecting your own night vision. If you are awakened and eyes are accustomed to the dark wouldn't turning on the lights possible have a negative affect on your own vision?
