  1. You dont need to be a Navy SEAL to appreciate some dry batteries. Think about all of the AR piggy blasters out there that need a good high cheek weld for those Thermal optics. THey also hunt in wet and unpredictable conditions. I don't own one of these style stocks, but I can see the UX design concept for keeping your extra optic batteries close at hand and ALWAYS dry and ready to use. It really isnt overkill at all. AMAZING VID BTW !!

  2. Good video, but I don't think the "K" in Geissele's MK 16 stands for "kurz." I think it's more like the Spitfire MK I (pronounced "mark one") or the second generation which was the Spitfire MK II. Every subsequent version is the next MK.
Now, K, in the suppressor world definitely means kurz.

  3. Why no rattle test done on all of the stocks? The SL and SL-S stocks of the SL line up is the only one of them with the tension leaf springs inside while the other SL series models use their dual side tension lever which only helps with some of the rattle, but I never found a buffer tube the SL-K fit on and locked onto removing all rattle or movement so I sold it. Kept my SL stock because of it having no rattle at all do to the springs. I wish mail would put the spring tension system on all of their stocks.
I know some people think the springs made it difficult to adjust, but it gets easier to do over time of use and still keeps the solid lock up, maybe magpul could use springs with a little less spring tension but still enough or use smaller springs to accommodate those who complain about the spring tension.
I also have heard people complain about the springs rubbing a mark on their receiver extensions and even though I have noticed it causing the anodizing to look glossy where the springs slide across it, I have seen it where through the anodizing or cerakote and they are tools, even though I try taking good care of mine and keeping them looking good I also am not worried about some slight cosmetic on a part that isn't really seen unless remove the stock and doesn't effect function negatively at all. I prefer to have a more functional part on mine any day over some minor cosmetic on my guns.
Most people with nitrided and other similar coated bolt carriers will have wear on the nitride finish on specific areas after so many shots through it but I don't see anyone not buying them or choosing to buy a new bolt carrier because of some cosmetic wear on them.

  4. I dont find the DT-PR to be a niche product. It is the tightest stock in the line up and has all u need and nothing u dont. It can be shot on SPR or a shorter rifle that you may want shoot off a rear bag someday.

It IS their best all around stock

  5. About the ACS. Lithium batteries like the 123A do not corrode like alkaline. The tubes are as waterproof as they need to be (dont swim with it). Everyone I've seen using them takes foam earplugs and cuts them in half and puts them between each battery to stop the rattle and further waterproof the terminals. Considering a lot of lights and optics can use the 123A, I figure a backup supply for emergencies is worth it. And for the people complaining about weight, it's all at the back of the rifle, which acts as a counterweight for the front of the gun, which is the part that really matters for weight. My ruffle is still light overall despite having 4 batteries and a steel cleaning tool in the stock. Even though it's 22, you still want some weight to soak up recoil, and this is useful weight instead of a government profile barrel (which some of you still use and don't complain about). Anyway, those are my thoughts on it. I really like the ACS if you can't tell :3
