Thanks dude
Decent video, but you did not show how to get the stock forward assist out of the gun. Because of that, I have to go find another video on how to do it.
Ugly way to do it
Roll pin starter punch?
They make starter punches. Lol.
The amount of men commenting on this that are so prissy about a possible mark on a fucking AR-15 is wild. Not to mention if you watch till the end, it simply wipes away anyway.
My pin would not go in broke half way it works 💀
lol 'use a brass hammer to not mar your receiver.' proceeds to mar receiver
getting a like because he didnt yap for 5 minutes. straight to the point. informative.
Beating the shit out that gun man😂
I was about to absolutely roast you for the marks from the hammer but instead learned something new. Brass hammer, nice. Great vid!
Dang mine does not want to go in that easy. Half way in and mushrooming and not want to go farther
"Wipe it all right off…" …except that gouge in the pic rail.
It happens to the best of us. But you could have at least mentioned the f-up.
Never!! Would I let you work on my weapons. 🤦♂️ holy hell
When he says "towards" it means the flat spot goes towards it from the side not up. Did a poor job of explaining that
Thumbs Up #556. Thanks for the help.
terrible…
Easy peezy.
How to scratch up your upper with vise grips. Holy fucking hacker.
This is the third video on this that I've watched in preparation for replacing the forward assist on my girlfriend's AR with a (sigh) purple one.
Anyway… while this does appear easy and I anticipate no problems, it amazes me that no one uses roll pin starter punches or even roll pin punches any more. Do folks no longer care about damaging roll pins these days?
He marred the rail, he is mangling that upper.
Let's not hate on the man for sharing knowledge… yes we all agree a rubber, nylon and or plastic hammer would have been a better option, but still thank you for teaching others
haha use a brass hammer so you don't mar your finish…haha, black finish missing all over .. maybe use a hard plastic/rubber hammer instead..
is this a video on how to beat up your upper ?
I love how he said “so you don’t mar up the finish” and then proceeds to mar up the finish with a hammer. 🤦🏻♂️
