Lighter buffer spring is all you needed
Always check gas tube alignment before drilling or replacing.

I’m sorry what? You widened the gas port before trying a new buffer spring and/or buffer 😮
I know this is a super basic answer, but mine was doing that because the bcg was underlubed.
Work on that flinch!
I know this videos old. But if anyone here is reading this and using Hornady / S&B Subs. They use fast burning powder, which causes low port pressure which makes it more quiet when suppressed…. Look for manufacturers that use CFE BLK powder like Winchester 200GR or Federal 220GR slower burning that causes higher port pressure, However its going to be a little louder…
I finally got mine to eject the case but, won’t hold the bolt open on empty. If I open my gas block anymore, the set screw will fall out. Any ideas? Running 7.5” with a 3.3oz SRS and Hyperion 7.62 suppressor
I’m having the same problem with mine
Why wouldntou shoot sub rounds without a can anyway?
A can will provide the pressure increase needed to cycle subs, as intended. I thought it was common knowledge….
How do you undrill the gas port in the barrel?
Nice info! I’m in the middle of testing. Shooting 300 subs 220 grain suppressed 7.5 in Faxon 1/5T barrel. It cycles and feeds but with quick trigger pulls it doesn’t get enough gas to lock the bolt back. I have to the lightest buffer maxim defense makes and spring since it’s proprietary to the cqb stock. I realigned the gas block and it cycled better but I think I will try a new gas block and tube as the gas block seems to be out of spec like you said bc when I checked I am hitting some of the gas tube when I check with a drill bit.
Bruh it was the fucking ammo this whole time😭
The fact that you "have to" say pistol, is crazy to me…
Had to drill mine with 7/64 flawless

Some people have no business working on rifles. This is embarrassing
Oddly enough what fixed my issues with this was to put in larue tactical power extractor, and change out buffer to an h1 and change the buffer spring back down to a milspec carbine, and voila. This is 556/223 not 300 BO but had the exact same issues u had here. The thought did cross my mind a few times of drilling out gas port bigger and just as I was about to do that everything started cycling
My 12.5 inch 300blackout doesn't like subsonic ammo, and when I put my can on, I may fire 1 or 2 rounds, and then it won't eject the fired round I put an adjustable gas block superlative arms. I'm going to try different buffer springs. Thanks for the info
Problem is the ammo. I am having the same problem, but if i switch to another subsonic round, cycles fine.
I've bought quite a bit of that ammo too 😓
I have a feeding and extracting problem. It clicks the same way and on some occasions the extractor pulls the bullet out of the casing dumping the gun powder and having to pry off the casing from the extractor. And the bullet head would be stuck in the barrel
1:17 ghost?
My .300 Blk does the samething but it double feeds sometimes and other times it won’t. Was told to try a different buffer for that round seeing as it is using a pistol buffer
why the fuck would you shoot subs without a can? They cost more and are pointless without a can
Wife comes to the door, "He better have his ass out in that garage after saying my gravy was lumpy!"
I had the same issue. 8” 300 blackout BA AR15 barrel/upper. I installed a Sprinco yellow buffer spring, extractor and ejector springs. I did not reinstall the extractor O ring. I now have 3:30 ejections and she’s running perfect with three different ammo types. My intention is to suppress this SBR. I’ll update when I get the approval on my can. Any day now.
I would’ve only done that if it’s strictly being ran without a suppressor now this person has got a giant ass Gasport the dude should just be running supers unless it’s not operating with the suppressor but he’s probably waiting on the suppressor and wants to shoot subs for some reason without one deserves nothing in the video saying that the dude was running a suppressor with it a lot of ammo and like I said companies will say that they will not run subs without a red
U need a suppressor…… my noveske barrel Says that it will not cycle subsonics properly without a suppressor same with their company when I called them ask him a question I did bring that up and they said with the suppressor it will cycle perfectly without do you want to use supers but if you’re doing a 300 build you’re gonna want to have a can on it that’s the purpose of doing a 300 build so you don’t blow your ears out if you’re hunting for a home defense scenario but I would see if supers cycle and I would honestly just if they have a 30 cow suppressor I’m assuming this gentleman‘s a gunsmith Manufacturers are making barrels so subs cycle like the barrels are basically being made it knowing that a suppressor is going to be on there
Maybe I mean it could be 1 million problems could be the anything from the head space and the bolt to too heavy of a buffer weight the type of ammo whether it’s subsonic or supersonic it’s probably the buffer since it got a break in the trigger so the BCG is cycling just far enough to reset the trigger but not chamber a new round it’s got to be that or maybe the gas block is on shifted I don’t know but I’m only 30 seconds into the video as trying to learn more about 300 block out as I just completed my radian model one had the lower for a while and want to get an upper so I wanted to do a 300 build using moves or barrel 416r stainless housed in a radian upper and sure fire…..
Some barrels I knew it some barrels do not cycle subsonic’s depends on the barrel and the buffer weight why do you want to shoot sonics anyway with out a suppressor if it’s not cycling with a suppressor and then it’s the buffer weight but it’s not just doesn’t have a can on their
My 300 blackout ran 90 rounds perfect no problem went shooting again would shoot but not eject it’s a 7.5 inch barrel any help?
