I’ll take an aimpoint comp m4s any day over a eotech exps. Eotech down fall is battery life and no ability for a consistent on.

I have all of them, but my go to rifle still rocks the AimPoint PRO
Its all personal preference. Dont follow what another does bc theyre a big name or operator. Try em all and train with them and decide what you like. Im an eotech lover bc of the huge window/fov and I love the reticle. I personally was slower with the t2 bc of the narrow fov. But thats me. That being said the transition to pistol dot is easier if youre used to a aimpoint in my experience.

Nods and lasers is a very particular working environment. Most guys aren't running that kind of an op. But that does make sense.

Over the years I've found that the technology in how the image is projected in an EoTech does not effect the stigmatism I have; however, as a patrol cop the simplicity of maintenance of an Aimpoint is unbeatable.

Running passive NODS the eotech is king, but I get this mentality. The weight is an issue.

crazy that he trusted his laser zero that much to have never even turned an optic on. That my friends is a dead on laser. that is a bomb proof laser and a bomb proof rail.

Had to take a second to ponder when DJ said he never engaged throught an optic and it was always nods and lasers. I never even thought of that possibility with his line of work. Thanks for the vid and things to think about.
Brothers if you haven’t already, try the Eotech EXPS3-1. You get the big window, w/o the busyness. Just a crisp 1 moa dot with beaucoup brightness settings.

The argument of a single dot is invalid. Eotech offers a single dot reticle and it’s actually a true 1 MOA dot unlike Aimpoint which not only is it NOT a holographic optic but it’s not even a 1 MOA optic. Vortex, holosun, Sig and others make just as clear single dot sights wit the exact same MOA dot as Aimpoint for more than half the price. Aimpoint should walk back their prices at least half until they can compete with eotech. Until then they are just DoD contract scammers and it’s just their shills who simp for them over eotech. I know you’re biased because Aimpoint sponsors you like sig does so you can’t truly be honest but this is just the truth.
Now, if you want to argue battery life then ok but again I’ll raise that vortex, holosun, sig and others are doing the exact same thing if not better for way less money than aimpoint and I don’t remember any aimpoints borrowing energy from the sun… 🤷♀️
