When I ordered a PS3 out of Sony

This isn’t zeroing, this is bore sighting. Fire a group, adjust your optic accordingly, fire another group, until your poa/poi match. At 50 yards 1 moa adjustment is ~ .5 inch, 100 yards 1 moa ~ 1 inch, so forth.

To add to this the boresight is usually off by a little or a lot. Thats why they're cheap. But if you spin the lazer dial your optic in to the center of that circle. So even though the boresight lazer is inaccurate you can still zero in
You should have also a side to a flip optic to get a more better accuracy but that’s just an idea
