After perfectly leveling scope to rifle, does it ever look canted to you when you get behind gun? I get that on all my rifle scopes even though I know it’s level with my barrel
So if I destroy my rifle, mounts, or scope because of your bad advice, 68 foot pounds do I get to sue you because the manufacturers are not going to warranty it. It will fall under negligence. Take the video down, correct it the right way, and stop being a lazy half ass. Do better
I like to level everything and then take a 4 ft level and draw a vertical line out about 20yrds or so and then compare my crosshairs with it after i tighten down my scope .
The only level that matters is the one mounted to your action…because that's the level you use while shooting. The reticle needs to be plumb to that level…these level kits are a shortcut to get you close, but you are compounding machining tolerances on the levels, mounts, rail, scope turrets, and reticles, and even bore cocentricity!!. Guess how you correct that when you test on paper….You cant your scope in the mounts to match tour POI.
this is wrong the cross hairs in the scope must be in line with the center of the bore or the further the bullet goes the more it will be off left or right the scope must be square with the bore not the rifle
I'm not a huge fan of that small level. I wish there wasn't a screw adjustment on it. I'm sure there is a reason but I can't think of one. The barrel level works great though.

Not very original video!

I'm not purchasing $300.00 worth of tools to mount a scope.
Verify that the small level for the receiver is accurate before using….

68 foot pounds? That is one tough scope tube!
What piccatiny rail is the best for the tikkas? Iv been looking at MTN Tactical? Thanks
Why do you not lap your rings?
I like leveling the gun and then a plumb bob on the wall and flashlight method
Thank you.
Said 68ft lbs. don’t let him mount your scope lol
I thought I heard 68 ft-lbs and then rewatched to see the annotated correction—VERY important clarification 😂
No plum-Bob?

Epoxy the pic rail down?
68 inch pounds is still crazy high. I've never tightened anything down to that extent.
You don’t need to rub the open wound by telling us about your NF. We can see the letters
Thank you for being so concise. And not taking 20 minutes to tell me how to do it.
Never checked the rings hmmm
Why no lapping?
Level your action, and plumb your reticle to a plumb bob. I used to do it like you do.

68 FOOT pounds?!
of all the things to leave out, you leave out the inch pounds for the rings… why?? that's quite literally the most important thing
That barrel level is nonsense.
I used a phone level on measure app and a wooden gun holder. My RPR shoots out to 800m.
Oh, you went with a night force……..oh ok
😄
Me personally, I won't use anything other than Dnz scope mounts, it's all one piece
68 foot lbs.?? Hell no
Don’t lap your rings 😂you city boys are something else.
I dont think i own a scope thats perfectly level 😂 Everyone is canted left or right but they all still shoot fine
Feeler gauges properly spaced between your scope bottom and rail works great. Saves a lot of time. I’ve used this method on my last three scope mounts
What vice is that?
Why not lap the rings?
LEVELS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH MOUNTING SCOPES. The only thing that matters when mounting a scope is bisecting the bore with the elevation travel.
this is wrong the cross hairs in the scope must be in line with the center of the bore or the further the bullet goes the more it will be off left or right the scope must be square with the bore not the rifle
Which rifle is that
